A source close to Sandals also denied yesterday that the government was caught off guard by its intention to make hundreds of people redundant, as Labour Minister Shane Gibson had suggested.
#The source said officials of the resort met with Prime Minister Perry Christie several times recently and informed him of the decision.
#In at least one of these meetings, Mr Gibson was present, the source said.
“The whole purpose in now putting government involvement is that people will have greater degree of confidence in investing in Grand Bahama knowing that the government is involved in this matter and, This man is beyond delusional. How did that great investment " Bahamar " go with "government " involved? Ig the GBPA know best for itself they would these grubby, sticky fingers clowns far away from them. What a joke
LOL Required nice one. Love it Man how low have we become in our country, when an admitted sweetheart beater, bill ducker, potcake can criticize Mr Lighrbourne and get people to agree with him. what a place
Real f..ck..g clowns. Where do they get off at believing that they can just trample over the rights of the citizens of this country. The reason for the seperation of powers is for this very same reasons they are fighting against. Bahamians have no access to the HOA to defend themselves, thus the courts. I blaame the speaker, who has responsibility to protect us from the largesse of parliament. He now feign indignation, when he was the one who allowed the member to infringe on the constitution rights of privacy for STB. Who will protect us from the tyrannical arm of government,if not the courts
It's the same old game. Wait until the last minute,so they can say we don't have time to go to bid or to review whether they are getting value for money, then they give them to their freinds, families and lovers
