This was nothing to do with carnival. It was just Goombay in April. There are under 50,000 people in Grand Bahama and at no time did more than half of them attended. I was also there and enjoyed the music by the Bahamian artists, but to say it was a success all depends on what your perspective is. I know vendors who made more money on the regular goombay nirhts than this last one. the gov said they spent nearly seven figures to put it on. There is an easy way to get a relatively accurate count just check how many tickets were sold
