This stuff for serious investors. Unless individual Bahamians can increase their personal savings rate like the Japanese and become discipline with their finances, Investments like this will always be a pipe dream.
It was amazing to see Tiger play golf in person at Albany. He actually looks smaller in person than he does on TV. Wish he can win at least one Major in 2019....go tiger...Golf needs you.
Thats like saying States in the US are clolnies of Washington...or provinces in canada are colonies of ottawa ..or prefectures in japan are colonies of Tokyo ....Do you really beleave that ?? Local government needs to be updated with new funding mechanism's and policies that are relavent for these times.
Congrats FNM government. The post office move is what you call Results....wait until all the other plans and policies comes together before 2022...even your critics will be singing your praises.....just needs to get some more money in the small man pocket and every thing will be alright.
The only solution i see for the family islands is for more young people who go away to school weather it be to foriegn countries or college in nassau be given incentives to return to their native islands and bring some new mellinial thinking ideas which they have been exposed to with them ..Those incentives should include land and finances. Familiy islands are failing because of the outdated local government system . The only people who are returning are retiries and expats who for the most part are seeking peace and tranquility after years of city life. Because of the duplication of government services on so many island with gov having a linited budget every year coupled with the fact that we are in a period of austerity is not helping the cries of many family islanders. Private Public partnerships for many of the issues Mr Trabusly jr expressed is going to be the only way forward for many family Islanders and they should also from Co-Operatives for pooling of resources and surprise themselves with what they can accomplish without the central government help. .That is how we can begin to unshakle our family islands.
McAlpine, Chipman, Miller and Travis should join the DNA and if Bran Mccartney becomes leader again, there is a real chance for a third party to win. Throw Leslie Miller and Loretta Butler in the mix they could have a landslide with the majority voting population switching to the under 30 year old voters in the next 2022 election.
Programs like the hope center needs increased funding by the government and the juvenile disipline programs like the program Jeff loyd headed in andros needs to be revived and all young boys who are identified as gang members needs to enrolled in these programs
