I couldnt agree with you more. A PM is surpose stand for the Rights of Bahamians and defend it at all cost,, and not cozy up to a segment of society who are displacing Bahamians.and breaking the laws of this country with an . illegal agenda. . Could you imagine President Trump or The French or British PM addressing illegals in their countries and telling them what they want to hear . ..Things that make you go humm
NIB has also built many other buildings for the Gov .... some of them are The Min of health complex on Delancy St, The new customs building and The Min of education building on Thompson Blvd, The sandilands Rehab new extension, The New NHI building on the east west highway, the police HG and dorms in Freeport, The new fire station in Freeport, The new Atorney Gen building on JFK and the next uncompleted building on the side of it, the list goes on.,
When the Gold Wynn hotel-condo is completed the northern coast of Nassau will have been completed with developements from Old fort bay, Caves village Sandy Port, Sandals, Breezes Baha Mar, The pointe and the Hilton, downtown streaching all the way to the montaque area. We will have a city that the envy of our sister carribean countries. There are pockets like the area streaching from east and bay street heading east and potters cay that needs urgent attention and the government would do well to provide incentives to speed up redevelopement of that strip. and complete the Broad walk along the shoreline until it reaches the Sir Sidney bridge. With the boost in private sector employment lavels, thanks to Baha mar, Bahamians need to refocus on keeping this city clean. Along with Atlantis, countries south of our archepelego would have cherished any of these investment had they ended up on their shores. Thanks to the reversal of Obama policies by president Trump on our neighbour Cuba, the Bahamas has been handed a Tourism reprieve so we should all work to make this place even better and turn freeport around. The Wynn Gold developement is a feather in the Minnis administration cap that no critic can remove as this ship of state begins to turn around.
i think if a deal is signed with the Wynn group, They may decide to knock down the closed portion of the Grand lucayan hotel and rebuild a brand new structure on that site. I gather from the interview with Mr Wynn, that they are very concerned with the condition of that structure after it has been closed for so long. It may be cheeper to rebuild....just my five cents.

Exxactly ...you can Credit the IPO's for Cable Bahamas, Commonwealth bank, Commonwealth Brewery, Arawak cay port to HAI FNM administrations. The PLP floated a plan about a Bahamas food services IPO to the Bahamain public when they were bought out by the american company Sysco foods, but just like most things they do. That was swept under the rug.and nothing has been heard from that since..
The Christie administration model for the sale of Alive shares in holding Co goes against the Minnis administration stated policy objective of creating a ‘shareholder society’ and spreading the wealth creation/accumulation more widely among Bahamians. An IPO is the way to go with bottom up distribution of the allocated shares. Alive now has a track record so the argument about not going the IPO route does not hold. Cable Bahamas took a few years before they payed their first dividends. so will Aliv. Growth in the value of the Aliv shares can be expected after the IPO and the majority can benefit.
This administration needs too adjust the terms of this offering and change the Christie administration offering model to include the Small retail investors and individuals who have brokerage accounts and are interested it purchasing Aliv holding co shares. As it stands now there are thousands of Bahamians who are not apart of pension funds, mutual funds and credit unions and would like to paticipate in this offering. ...come on advisers you and the Board can convince them to change it ..If "ts the people time" Let the Institutions eyed use their funds like they traditionally do ..no one would miss their money. The offering would still be over subscribed.Convince the Gov to go the IPO route Aliv can sponsor the IPO ..they seams to have enough funds on hand to be sponsoring every event happening in this country at the moment...Staff at **BTC** and **BEC** who are getting packages can now become owners and feel like they have really accomplished something after years of hard work for those companies. Something that they can leave to their children and grand children. Only then would this truly be covering the broadest possible spectrum of Bahamian ownership and give everyone an equal chance to become a part of the share holiding society. As it stands now this offering discriminates aganist the Bahamian investing public....Fix it, make it right !
