While the world moves forward with renewable energy industries we are getting deeper into the fossil fuel era. Why could this not have been a factory for the manufacturing of solar panels ? This heads of agreements shows how desperate the Gov is to get something going in freeport. This is not a win win for our marine resources. This is not a win win for our land and the mangrove areas in east GB. No development of this magnitude is good for our environment. Lets go after manufacturing industries that are changing the global carbon footprint. Solar, wind, Hydro,Wave, Geothermal,Biofuel and the like.... . On one hand we complain about global warming, climate change, sea level rise, and as an archipelagic nation we are in the forefront of being affected. This agreement is like shooting ourselves in the foot., but i guess money talks.

Be mind full when making the height restrictions that all the land bordering the harbour was once swamp land that was filled in. Foundations for any multi story structures are going to very expensive due to the dept that has to be excavated. . Four to five stories in height should be the limit so as not to end up any monstrosity of structure's like the condo complex at the eastern of paradise island thus loosing the tropical charm of the city.

He would make a good marine in the Defence Force. He has good survival instincts. The aditional training would refine his skills and he can teach other young men. Gov make it happen. God bless you young man !

Suggest creative ways to get the Banks to use some of that pent up 1.8 billion liquidity in the banking system to help unleash the creative spirit of Bahamian young people and entrepreneur's sir snake. You have made your's big time now our young people just want a chance. . Liberalization is just being relaxed not totaly eliminated. I support the relaxation because there are Bahamian millennials and technocrats who have ideas around the world that they want to bring to fruition in this country. Some on them have limited funds and the Banks have been a dream killer to many of them..Relaxation is all about the people with small ideas that may grow big someday. Remember many of today's big name companies started in garages Relaxation goes hand in hand with the commercial enterprise Bill.

While the government efforts for a new bread basket list is exactly what is needed. The reality of the situation is that we have become a fast pace, fast food society. A large percentage of Bahamain's rely on fast food sometimes three or more times a day. Only education about healthy eating can change that, but as long as fast foods are around people will spend less time in the kitchen preparing healthy foods. Something should be done to test the contents of fast foods in this country and their health effects ! The result would be shocking !
