Last I checked, Grand Bahama was part of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. With the Minister of Foreign Affairs so focused on GBI, it must be true what they say: Central Government really does consider Grand Bahama 'foreign'. Minister Mitchell, respectfully, your comments are divisive and are helping no one, least of all the residents of Grand Bahama whose interests you so passionately purport to represent. The shameless and unsubstantiated commentary clearly designed to devalue Grand Bahama is also compromising its residents. And, for the record, I have never not been able to drive from Freeport to East End: ever!

I fail to understand the objection. There has not been a suggestion that the proposed festival should replace or demean current Bahamian cultural and theatrical enterprises. Why are we so arrogant to believe we have nothing to learn from Broadway; why is it all about what’s in it for me? Why aren’t we considering learning and potential opportunity for Bahamians.
Small, closed minded and petty thinking that guarantees mediocrity and our place in the third world.

Collectively, there are few worse when it comes to protecting Bahamian resources and respecting environmental regulations than Bahamians themselves.

The practice of forcing customers to stand outside is simply self serving and has nothing to do with COVID. Another example of the wanton disregard the Banks have for anyone other than themselves. Pitiful.

There is so much talk about reducing taxes and and yet we continue to drown in debt. For every dollar discounted, there must be a dollar realized. Where do we propose to find the money to cover the suggested tax cuts, and start paying down our debt?

Scrap all travel restrictions. At this stage the significant majority are being compromised for the very few.

Enough is enough. Time to move on.

For as long as we continue to allow the fox to guard the chickens, nothing will change.

Another proposal that will contribute to the ‘dis-ease’ of doing business. Start by fixing the justice system; first things first.

The learned Stephen Turnquest of Callenders & Co. should revisit the documents his firm submitted to the Court where I think he'll find that his Firm signed a legal Undertaking to assume all the Admiralty Marshall's fees as a condition of the arrest. Sorry to say Mr. Turnquest, Callenders & Co. are on the hook; better get talking to your client to get some $ quick fast and directly.
And while you're at it, stick to lawyering and get out of the PR business; the twisting of the truth to influence public opinion by lawyers and law firms to sell their agenda is becoming a global scourge. Be part of the solution, not the problem.
