you dont get it? Since beginning covid19 is being used for dark and evil purposes, there was never an intention to protect anyone. It is used to put all countries into more debt, public and private. 0.01% of population is infected but they are fighting like it would be ebola with 90% mortality. Think about it. And follow the money!

Bahamas business model is gone. 3/4 of customers are Americans, do someone really believe covid19 will be eradicated in that country? Without working health system? With millions of homeless serving as permanent reservoir for the virus? With millions of Americans not being able to afford a hospital visit? Sure these people will likely not come to Bahamas they lack the money, but an epidemic with this social structure is impossible to stop. There will be outbreaks for many years, many people will be asymptomatic, then probably still coming here and then what? What is the plan? With an airplane landing here some infected will come on the islands. What is going to happen then? Lock down again because a whole hotel got contaminated? You can't be serious about that.

I have a better proposal: focus on the infected! "spend your covid infection with great sea view in the Bahamas". Yeah sounds absurd? not at all. Build 500+ exclusive covid ICU places with great sea view and recovery facilities for wealthy Americans! Hire exclusive medical personel and offer the treatment all inclusive at 80% of the US price! That is going to give you better return on investment than any protocols.

The electricity infrastructure is 3rd worldish. Build at least concrete poles with a stable RC foundation, that would withstand any cat 5 hurricane. Even in South America they are putting concrete poles, why not here? Wooden poles in termite affected area, that is a joke! They have put a new pole here after Dorian but with the last tropical storm it already started to move and doesnt sit straight any more. For sure next hurricane will take it! Why we are paying so much for 3th world type services?

I believe there may be no tourists coming in for a couple of years. There is no sign of any slowing down of covid19 cases worldwide. People will be scared to travel even if covid finally slows down. Current solution using the civil aviation building should be good for a while. Let the market solve it. It is completely unwise to invest gov money into an airport with this outlook.
