When Davis & Co got into power they axed the policies and project of the Minnis government, no matter the schedule of completion, the monies invested and worse without regard to the benefits of those they’d ‘pledged’ to serve- their fellow citizens.

At first I thought that like Trump when he obliterated anything and everything that Obama’s administration had accomplished that Davis might be out for the same vengeful spite

By the time Davis & Co axed this deal, the low housing projects well underway (and all those hopeful souls who’d been approved for homes?). it was clear this was just about the money-that would line their pockets and of course the power.

Christie & Davis et al showed Bahamian citizens what they were about the last time they held the reins of power.

Add to this, a politicized and corrupt police force that works with the same gangs terrorizing Bahamians, the same gangs who control the illegal activity at the ports, the corrupt immigration, customs and trade officials/workers allowing the trafficking of people, the smuggling of goods, firearms and drugs.

As long as the Bahamas has a corrupt police force no company can succeed.

Why are the “new officials” working without being trained?
Were the experienced ones laid off for political appointees?

Extra shocks comes to mind…to meet the umm..weighty occupants.

The straw market vendors rent space from the government in a venue built expressly for them, in the choicest of locations to capture sales from incoming tourists for them.
And they pay an extremely low rate of rent.

No administration has ever met their demands. When they don’t pay their rent and are pressured to do so, and or are facing eviction they go to the press.
When they need to accommodate customers using credit cards they complain about the cost, is the gov’t to pay this too?
When they have to use their own phones for internet they complain.
And one can presume that if the government installed wifi and added that fee to their rent, their complaints would appear here. Again.

What happened to the projects started by the Minnis government for affordable housing in Nassau that Davis & Co stopped ‘to do it better’?
Have any been turned over to qualified owners??

I’d already assumed Davis & Co of using artificial intelligence every time they spoke from their alternate reality!
