The politicians in the Bahamas are like the goose with the golden egg.
Except this goose isn’t protecting her egg.

The working group were aware of video conferencing and obviously found it inadequate, the same with medical care, over and above the supposed 5 inmates a day to PMH.
It’s also known this administration had overtaken the previously planned detention center and isat on it.
So much for initiative…

How did the Bahamas make the turn to a “non emitter”??

Why does this man continue to embarrass his country?
What respect can be engendered on the international stage for a man squeezed into a $1000+ suit crying poverty.
And even worse this man known for his corruption, bleeding his country dry, refuses to lift a finger to enforce the environmental laws in his own country!

rosiepi says...

Is this guy a comedian or what????

rosiepi says...

Of course he would, he needs to keep his own ‘Nigerian Scam’ going!

rosiepi says...

Like hell the IMF failed to raise it with him!

Why is it that no one points a finger at the accused who made the decision to kill another human being? And if that person did fear retaliation why didn’t they take the necessary precautions?
Does he not bear the primary responsibility for his actions? To ensure his baby girl has a Father committed to her well being, her Mother a stable partner in that effort?
How can the RBPF possibly chase down and ‘save’ every fool choosing to break his bail conditions?
We all know the police pick and choose, I waited with a friend on PI after she’d been confronted by an armed robber in her home. Nobody showed until the next day and only after we contacted her solicitor.

In the case of this young man it appears some time had passed after he was released before he was killed so one might conclude his continued criminality and not the murder accusation led to his death.
So let’s stop the hypocrisy, bemoaning a society with a built in bias that nothing can/should/or will ever be done for children born into a class deemed irredeemable, while the upper echelons participate in the same criminality with impunity!

I sympathize with this lady and her family for their loss.
The boat captain should not have ignored the day’s marine warnings.
However…
Going on holiday should never cause one to forget all their precautions, common sense and knowledge of their fellow humans.
This may sound harsh but here goes..
If one’s life is dependent on a piece of equipment make sure it works!
If a boat is sinking why wait for someone to tell you to put on a life jacket??

Usually a “legitimate accident” is one caused by unforeseen circumstances, this doesn’t make that grade.
When someone sets out with 140 souls aboard in rough seas, in a vessel ill equipped to handle those conditions, despite marine warnings, and by all accounts with an inexperienced crew, any adverse results are no accident.

However this is the Bahamas and tho the owner dubs himself a ‘severe weather spotter’ here abouts, but turning away 140 paying customers??
The charge ‘criminally negligent’ will not be sought.
