Haitians refugees come here to work and carve out a life for their families,
the fact they keep coming usually means there’s a need for their labour.
I don’t see Haitians holding up walls in Nassau…

Folks like this so called ‘pastor’ know very well the consequences of their fear and hate mongering, and that makes it difficult to see the Lord working through such a man.
In fact he reminds me of Trump and those tyrants round the globe who stir up fear and hatred against one’s fellows in a bid for power.

If their homes were made with quality materials you’d be wondering where they stole it…

It will interesting to see how they’re going to recreate this rendering at this location on Cabbage Beach given it’s history of shoreline erosion.

Why isn’t the Minister asking folks to get this year’s slate of vaccines for Covid, RSV and the Flu??
What’s the status of those supplies in the Bahamas
This article should have mentioned that the NYT’s reporting included most of those hospitalized are unvaccinated.

Not true. He and other members have been raising this point and demanding answers since these hooligans took over.

It is good for Bahamians to have these discussions and continue to teach all aspects of their history as is done.

So why must this PM continue to speak such nonsensical gobbledygook?
The name within the imperial legacy has changed to mean a return to that ‘grand tradition’ of what tourism used to mean, luxurious travel, adventure, etc?
That’s how he acknowledges the irony of this moment?
If that’s how he wants to play then why doesn’t his gov’t work towards another ‘old tradition’ of tourism in the Bahamas?
Crack down on corruption in the RBPF in order to bring about a safer environment that Bahamians and tourists once enjoyed.

Wasn’t the Straw Market originally built to showcase Bahamian goods?
And shouldn’t those lucky enough to have a stall there, in a venue so well positioned for incoming tourists sell such goods?
So many reviews, blogs, and videos complain about the ‘junky’ and ‘cheap’ appearance of the goods on display, and the aggressive nature of the salespeople while they search for authentic products that aren’t made in China/Taiwan etc.

I don’t understand tho complaint about duty as the ‘straw’ is a home grown resource here, literally everywhere. And are the goods from China and other foreign countries not taxed?

The politicians in the Bahamas are like the goose with the golden egg.
Except this goose isn’t protecting her egg.

The working group were aware of video conferencing and obviously found it inadequate, the same with medical care, over and above the supposed 5 inmates a day to PMH.
It’s also known this administration had overtaken the previously planned detention center and isat on it.
So much for initiative…

How did the Bahamas make the turn to a “non emitter”??
