Sorry but no, AstraZeneca is the only Big Pharma entity that pledged from the outset to cut their profit margins until the pandemic was over, last year before their vaccine was developed and/or deemed successful, and costs unknown they entered contracts to sell their vaccines at $4@, $3 for poorer countries.
If they had set the price equal to Moderna's at $28@, a 300 billion vaccine contract would have cost $84 billion, Pfizer's at $15@, $45 billion, not AZ's price of $1.2 billion The WHO rightly said they developed 'a vaccine for the world'.
But yes, The Bahamas government should definitely at least stop giving the vaccines to those under 50 the age group affected with deadly side effects, new data shows the efficacy in those over 50 rises from 76% to 85%.
I will not be taking this vaccine but disinformation is dangerous.

On 7,000 vaccinated

These behemoths cannot just hang about without causing massive damage,

For pity's sake the tragedy is the fate of her children and circumstances of her murder.
And four hundred years of abuse and conditioning?
Try back to the dawn of man.
This 'John" ignores the plight of 7 orphans, and sees in this tragedy another opportunity for his treatise on the evils of slavery that he thinks will allow him to ignore/excuse his own culpability in the prevalence of domestic abuse.
And all the while a family mourns their loved one at the hands of her abuser.

The Bahamas largest market, where the gov't has spent the most money ($100 million in the last year alone) to draw in tourists is the US.
However the US has continued to be a hotspot for Covid-19 for an entire year while it's gov't is still refusing to address the enormity of this public health crisis.

The gov't of the Bahamas is no less culpable of compounding their own public health crisis by using 'free' antigen tests that cannot detect Coronavirus in asymptomatic cases.
There are rapid tests that work, these are not among them.

There is another proven fact, this virus kills people of color, people with diabetes and other pre existing conditions.

Buy the proper tests, lives are at stake!!

All the Govt has to do is set up travelling lab technicians but the real problem lies in the type of rapid test they are using which they've admitted is useless in detecting Covid in asymptomatic cases.
There are rapid tests that provide better results, the gov't refuses their purchase.

Every day these behemoths are allowed to park without oversight in our pristine waters threatens the environment and the economy of The Bahamas.
The Ministry of the Environment has all the investigative tools and powers needed to make an informed conclusion and act in this matter, in fact all departments of this government have such powers allowing for swift action when called upon.
So why is the 'acting' Director spouting gobbledygook about a 'task force' and 'a group'?
If the crime is known, is blatantly ongoing why hasn't the Ministry stepped in and performed their sovereign duty to protect the environment?
And these are the same guys who will police the offshore drilling of the Bahamas Petroleum Co?
Not a good optics fellas!

The PCIO is using the pandemic as another excuse to rob the Bahamian people of their right to hold their government accountable.

The relaxing of protocols likely reflects the start of cruise ship sailings on November 1st.

The analogies of risk Ms Quant presents ,a car accident, or even God forbid a commercial airline crash are not equivalent examples of the adverse consequences to most every Bahamian industry from an oil spill disaster.
And though BPC could theoretically cause an oil spill of the same magnitude as other infamous disasters, their pockets are notoriously shallow to expect ample compensation.

Unfortunately the CDC has been cut out of the loop, and while the Plan looks good on paper, who will do the enforcing? We know how well that works for their so called environmental controls.
And those who cater to the trade should note the plan is for passengers to only be allowed to disembark w/ tours booked on ship w/strict monitoring.
And it cuts both ways, why have protocols for shelter in place for all visitors except cruisers?
As the season progresses Covid is only going to get worse and the US, in particular FL that had all controls lifted last week is not a healthy place

On Nassau's COVID rate is cruise line concern
