There should have been a video to go along with this picture. This is something "happy" and "refreshing" for the soul. Was it televised? The entire Bahamas needed to share the joy with these kids and their schools. I hope it was well attended.
It seems that history has repeated itself once again. This is what I read at the beginning of January 2012.
AN 18-year-old woman became the first traffic fatality of 2012 after crashing her car into a wall early yesterday morning.
#The incident occurred around 4.20am on Blue Hill Road, at the corner of St Vincent Road.
#The victim was driving a green 1999 Honda Accord carrying two passengers, a male and female, when they collided with a red 2007 Ford Explorer, driven by a 46-year-old man.
A hit and run - what has our people become? It seems a bunch of heartless bodies. What a shame, to run over a baby and it's mother and leave them there. It's down right murder and attempted murder. He or she is not dead yet, but may his or her soul rest in peace. The baby will rest in peace and I do hope that the mother pulls through it.
Crime is robbing the Bahamas. Bahamians you need to stand up for your rights. You have to march, sit outside parliament, sing, or do whatever it takes for the government to do something about the thugs who are trying to ruin the Bahamas. Don't let crime get the best of the Bahamas.
Minister Griffin, you've hit the nail on the head. Families must take responsibility. Family structure begins in the womb, and continues until death. The saying "it's getting closer to home" is past tense. The disrespect, killing, robbing and other crime is AT HOME.
***How very sad and senseless. Mr Bruner is correct in saying that Bahamians should not only rely on Government to "fix it". Bahamians, especially those who are dependent on the tourist industry for their bread and butter need to let these "bullies" and "murderers" know that they are killing them also when there is a slow down and cessation of the tourist industry. When this happens everyone is affected. The Bahamas is not the only island with sun, sand and sea. Don't let these criminals take over the Bahamas. Now when I envision our flag, I see Black, Yellow, Acquamarine and Red (for all the blood that's being shed). My condolences to the Bruner family and to all the other families that have been taken down by the "bullies" and "murderers".***

How very, very sad. Such a great loss of human life. May they rest in peace and may their family find the strength to go through this sadness.

You're right. Give them the Bahamian welcome that is due them; they are spending money that is much needed in Nassau, and let God be the judge.
