Remember the recent PI Bridge and Cabbage Beach protests? Photos on the front page of this newspaper even showed gun-toting Bahamian policemen stomping on unarmed Bahamian citizens who were down on the ground. Sounds like 'violence' to me.
Rodney Moncur may just the beginning of the 'new blood' the FNM needs. Don't agree with his views on the pending gender equality bill but, like you say, he is well spoken and can get his point across. Also, Rodney Moncur vs. Bradley Roberts would be awesome!
Why are illegal migrants still being brought into New Providence where the majority of the population resides? Besides being a major health and security risk, why is the Detention Centre even on New Providence? God granted us 700 islands, rocks and cays, why not create a Detention Centre on one of them?
Since only LEGAL residents can have the new NI card the new permanent residency card is not needed. Having the NI card proves you are here legally, so the permanent residency card is really just another money-making scheme. Someone didn't think this out to well, did they.?
Didn't you hear? The US Embassy is looking for a new location. Outgrew their current Queen Street locations eons ago but with the new Asian neighbours across the street they knew it was time to find a new address.
