Radio reports say the Bahamian government is paying $80,000 for this, meaning me and you. Why? No offense, I could see private citizens contributing to fund to build a memorial in their own neighbourhood but not the average taxpayer. Will we be expected to pay for memorials in Yellow Elder and Nassau Village where there are also shootings/murders as well? Have your memorial, but I just don't see why I have to pay for it.
People train for YEARS before attempting something like this. How long did they train for? Well, at least that's something crossed off their 'bucket lists'.
Reading this, I think Alfred Sears and the other decision makers @ COB are only interested in increasing fees to offer higher salaries etc. Seems like the financial situation of the students are the last thing they're thinking about. Are their children students there? My daughter is.
Too jokey. This letter must be a distraction ploy so the public will have something else to talk about besides the usual lousy politicians, crime, VAT etc. The writer cannot truly believe what he wrote (can he?)
Heard on the radio news recently (Friday?) that, yes, with cameras posted all over now don't be surprised if you receive a ticket in the mail or a summons from an officer of the court. Red-light Runners and others, seems like we are stepping into the 21st century after all.
Curious, what qualifications does a person need to become a diplomat, ambassador or consul? And if he's in Bimini over the weekend, who's in charge in Atlanta?
