I don't think either of these boys knew they would be killing an innocent woman when they woke up that morning.
Blame it on their stupidity, blame it on their family upbringing, blame it on the society that failed to raise them properly but cut this BS about public flogging and death penalty and life. An innocent person lost her life and the horrible life for these guys at a place like Fox Hill is just beginning. no one wins, we all lose.

Serving customers with a smile may not be written down as a job description but is a must for these types of jobs. I can totally see Mr Blatch happily using the drive through ATM that can replace all of the people working in that branch or others, then we will see who has the last laugh.

my guess is Mr Blatch was offended by the rude treatment he received at the bank. There are many ways of kindly explaining him that he should take off his hat and apologize for the inconvenience. Give the man some respect. Rather, after serving 40+ years as a police officer, he was ordered by a lowly security guard about what to do and on top of that he had to deal with bank tellers that acted like he was a nuisance not one of the few account holders still left using BOB. isn't that how it works for most of us? again, i wasn't there. i am just speculating...

By shutting the door on the face of these immigrants, we may be shutting the door on the face of the next brain surgeon, engineer, architect, writer, dancer, basketball player that will elevate the whole bahamas. by refusing the immigrants' kids proper status and leaving them in limbo all their childhood and adult lives, we are the ones cutting down the growth prospects of these islands. Fix the public schools for both the bahamian kids and all others for god's sake! Show them that doing good in school/hard work is the way not playing numbers, finding a hotel job, getting handouts from the government, or robbing someone.

erm ok folks but who can even correctly pronounce this list of industries that someone obviously copy pasted from some website eh? the fancier the name the more scammy it gets.

my second point is that is not the way the water flows on this island. the only types of immigrants this place currently attracts are the ones fleeing poverty in their country and the occasional teacher/doctor/nurse/accountant ones( mostly spouses) that give them a flexibility to move around. who in their right mind is going to move to a small island to start a business where they need to spend at least half a million on a place to stay, pay 55% customs on a car, spend $300 a week on bread and milk at Supervalu, rent an office for over $4500 a month and trying to hire from a small pool of qualified applicants in addition to taken advantage of by many local lawyers whom you need to even buy toilet paper for your company. exchange controls, limited number of banks, no good public schools, bad roads/crazy traffic, like 5 overpriced places to eat. it's just not worth it.

i am all for any bill that puts some fresh blood into this economy but this sort of populist talk is so laughable! ok dude you have 12 months to learn heart surgery, make tacos, and manage an eastern european portfolio.

can't we just go ahead and point our fingers at these older lady managers who were obviously terrorizing these girls who didn't have the luxury of quitting their jobs? don't you have enough fake hair, makeup, and body parts already?
