We are heading further down a dangerous path of national desperation, debt, and dictatorship.

Fillup (I like that one) is trying to trick/bribe Bahamians who are desperate for economic relief by dangling a VAT carrot before them in 2026.

We already see what Fillup has done since 2021. He cannot be allowed any more time to torment Bahamians with this New Day nightmare government. Vote them out.

On PM: Back me and I may cut VAT again

We don't need a SLOP Day.

We have two faux PLP holidays now Jan 10 and October Monday.

This PLP hero worship is becoming ridiculous.

sheeprunner12 says...

Stupid PLPs. What else can you say?

Truth be told ........ Many Cuban teachers who come here on contract NEVER return to Cuba.

Go and research that, Mr. Tribune.

Instead of getting mixed up in Carnival, they should have stuck to a year-round production of Junkanoo parades.

In that way, our native culture would thrive.

We too like copy foreign things. I don't feel sorry for these Carnival copycats.

The Bahamian Govt is making contracts with the Cuban Govt to hire Cuban is the Ministries of Education and Health. No PM can deny that truth.

And it is common knowledge that these Cuban workers do not get to keep their FULL salaries as ordinary Bahamian workers do.

So, whatever happens with the Cuban workers' salaries that go to the Cuban Government, that is for those who investigate such matters to do.

If this organization doesn't need help sourcing building materials, then why are building materials so expensive in this country? Or why are Bahamian contractors charging $150 - $200 per square foot to build a commoner's house in the country????

Why does a cement block cost $5.00 in the Family Islands or a bag of cement cost $30.00 or a sheet of plywood cost $70.00???

He better stop talking shit and try and help the consumers who cannot bring in 40 ft. containers of materials like him.

The presence of "private schools" is the root of the problem in our educational system. Most of them are not even worth having open anyway. Outside of maybe 5-10 of the old established elitist private schools, the others are not that much better than public schools. Check the external exams results for proof of that.

Get rid of this duopoly and maybe the public schools may not be at the disadvantage that they are in.

The New Day Govt is robbing Peter to pay Paul.

But,who will ever admit to that in this Cabinet????

sheeprunner12 says...

Will you cut off your FNM nose to spite your political face?

Look what that got 242 in 2021.

It is time for every right-thinking Bahamian to UNITE against the New Day despots and begin to rebuild the Bahamian society & economy, based on basic democratic principles founded on accountability and transparency with the citizens (and not PEPs) as the number one priority of our national/local Government.
