For the record, all of our former PMs have lost an election and were given an opportunity to redeem themselves.
Why are FNMs acting like HAM is not worthy of retaining his seat as an FNM. Only God and the ppl can fire him. A lesser person(s) should not usurp that privilege.
This only shows the classless culture that Pintard & Sands have brought to the FNM.
I sometimes hang my head in shame at many of the priests under Boyd's leadership ....... He is a higher moral authority than a civilian leader. He wears a mitre and carries a staff.
Criminals cost this country millions of dollars in their destructive, callous and reckless lifestyles. Imagine the extra costs in public & roadworks, physical damage to homes/business places, cost of private insurance, home & business security systems, investigative services, personal injury, medical & funeral bills etc .........
So, if we only require that at the very least, that if you want to live a criminal lifestyle, take out a million dollar life insurance that the victims can claim from to cover costs & damages from the crime. Theoretically speaking 😂😂
List the names of the ppl who OWN these digital money businesses in Nassau ....... Then place alongside them the names of those who OWN the numbers houses in Nassau.
Too much politics is in Nassau Junkanoo. Its either Valley Boys/PLP or Saxons/FNM.The other groups are there as sideshows or fillers. When an A group needs at least 250K to get on a parade and the Govt is giving $30K, it goes to say that Junkanoo is a "special interest" activity.
Unfortunately, that is what sailing is coming to as well. Either you support or prefer Exuma/PLP regatta or Long Island/FNM regatta. The other regattas are second or third tier community events with one or two minor classes
Look at where the official funding goes. Then look at which cultural system is better organized and functional. Who is going to fund Class A boats that are valued at 250K or more? No wonder everyone is building a Class C or E boat now. We have a very expensive national sport that demands a lot of financial and technical expertise that NO Government can afford to maintain.
Our two iconic cultural events are been priced out of the range for average Bahamians to actively be involved in. Most are just passive spectators or worse, detached and disinterested in the actual "goings on" at either Junkanoo or Regatta. They are busy eating & drinking - or not present at any live event.
Sorry, we do old school Junkanoo on Long Island. Volunteers line up & rush for free and get drinks & souse from donors. No judges, no bleachers, no police. Just good community fun & holiday spirit.
Churches and homes have failed. Can't expect Caesar to instil morals & character in children.
Almighty God has been left out of the equation in the modern Bahamas. We worship the almighty dollar, politicians, Yardie dancehall DJs, drug bosses, numbers boys & US sports stars & rappers.
This online BS is another scam for the numbers boys & techies who like play with apps. We don't even have working Internet in this country, imagine money on apps.
Brave is a part of the political elite for 40 years. He has gotten rich through the legal profession representing some shady characters and shady companies.
He is not like the rest of us. He can't feel the pain of the average Bahamian. His cheap talk is hollow.
What has he done in his adult life to advance locally owned banks, cooperatives or other financial institutions that help to develop the country beyond consumer loans? What has he done to see that a BOB is on every Bahamian island to ease the burden of the unbanked?
He is not the right messenger to convince the Big3 (Canadian-based) banks to change course. The Big3 know that they own the Bahamas Government.
