We, the citizens have downgraded ourselves ........... we have decided to fiddle with re-electing do-nothing politicians ever since 2002 with NO tangible improvement in our standard of living OR cost of living.
Meanwhile the politicians continue to live high off the hog (our money).
We, the citizens have no one else to blame for this mess since 2002.
The era for depending on SOEs for national development has passed ......... I agree with John Brown above ............. Too much political meddling has created chaos in these SOEs.
We need a political revolution to take place in order for this country to change. Another 1967. But, who can lead it??????? ....... maybe the Millennials and the GenZ generations.
If the PLP Government is going to use the old Diamond Crystal Salt site, they should say so.
If they are using Crown Land near Mortimers to extend to Cape Verde, they should say so.
At this point, the site is as vague as the HOA .......... another gimmick to try and oust the MP.
Meanwhile the PLP government placed a stop, review and cancel order on the Deadman's Cay Airport that was already approved and ready to start prior to the September 2021 election. This just goes to show how vindictive the PLP is. They mean Long Island NO good.
The Govt brags about how much revenue that they make from RTD, but how do we see it returned to us??? Our vehicles are been destroyed daily in Long Island.
A contractor had a $5million road job for almost 3 years on Long Island, he tore up the road and has not tarred it or put up signs etc yet. That is PLP and FNM failure.
This five year election cycle crisis has manifested itself in the worse way with BEC/BPL over the last 20 years .............. BEC went from being a net profit earner to an albatros around all of our necks with a State-backed debt nearing a billion dollars, with NO national sustainable plan to extricate us out of this mess.
As the Guardian headline read ................... **screwed**, we are screwed.
