The New Day Government has raised every other tax/fee/rate ............ so he can boast that he is not raising VAT.
The country is almost impossible for a person to live in if he/she is not making at least $4,000 per month ............. You are basically living hand to mouth otherwise.
Brave is not going to fix that .............. he is too busy travelling and trying to fix Haiti
Is Chester blaming non PLPs for the increased murder rate that has taken place under the New Day Govt since 2021?
Why won't Chester insist that his PM & Min of National Security just do more to take the 300+ murderers off the streets that his AG has allowed to walk free as a result of the paralysis in the national court system????
While it may be a political thing, Chester should "name & shame" the creators of the video and stop throwing out innuendos.
Most MPs and national leaders (ubp, plp & fnm) were either rich or they got rich while in Office.
Check the records of the 39 MPs ....... The majority are millionaires. So, why would they pass laws to tax themselves or their elite friends and PEPs????
Every new tax or "rate" is designed to take more money out of the pockets of the average and below average wealth earner. The rich Bahamian is living off the backs of the poor masses.
Unemployment, underemployment and discouraged workers are never going to be accurately recorded or stated by a Third World government.
PLP & FNM governments think that the solution is to HIRE more civil servants to reduce unemployment. That is the exact opposite way to grow an economy. But it's their political policy to create more dependent supporters for votes at the polls.
That is why the country cannot develop any further and the socioeconomic situation is getting worse by the day.
We must look a little deeper at this, as the system of slavery & indentured labour after slavery placed poor blacks & whites at a serious disadvantage.
Unfortunately, the PLP elite have gobbled up the remainder of the Bahamian economy that was not controlled by the Bay Street Boys and pushed the poor masses (mostly blacks) even deeper into poverty.

question
how many persons or households in this country make an annual gross income of $120,000??
the government or the statistics dept. needs to answer this for the people.
i doubt if that number will exceed 2-3% of the labour force. far from the 60% that govt. likes to throw around.
