This writer is not as politically savvy as one may have thought .......... the "One Leader" principle in the Caribbean region is very real & powerful when special interests control the party machinery (bosses) and are also the financial backers of the party ......... This influences WHO is selected as party candidates and to Cabinet ......... Those successful MPs and Cabinet members are then "controlled" by the Leader and the party bosses in order to get the perks of the State .......... Those Cabinet members are forced to vote for the Leader and his bosses or be cut from the "inner circle" ...... The Gussie Mae Cabinets neutralize the back benchers, who then are "punished" if they speak up against the Leader ( e.g.The FNM Four) ............ A weak Opposition and a weak back bench keeps the One Leader and his party bosses who control the Cabinet in power ad finitum.

That is the present strategy used by the black Caribbean leaders to maintain power in a bastardized Westminster system. .......... Trump is doing a similar thing in the USA.

Some politicians are like teflon ........... this is a prime example. Shane Gibson will be a PLP candidate in 2022 ............ and he may win again.

He survived Anna Nicole .................... now he has survived Shingles.

Bahamian politicians have betrayed God ............... much less a denomination

Name ALL of the "royal families" in The Bahamas that enjoy (black) social privilege ......... Pindlings, Hannas, Maynards, Wallace-Whitfields, Turnquests, Bostwicks, ...........

And ................... who is still on the "No Pay List"??????

These Bahamian politicians love this game of "smoke and mirrors" that they use to hoodwink the dumb, blind and dependent citizenry ........... while the PEPs gorge themselves on the Treasury and the politicians shamelessly take care of each other and their families and offspring. ............. An oligarchic banana "republic" masquerading as a respectable black democracy.

For the most part ........... there is something wrong with Nassau ....... The rest of us out here (Out Islands) just pick up the crumbs and endure the SHIT that Nassau throws at us.

Les we forget .............. The ELA disaster took place between 2000-2005 ......... We need those in charge back then to account (and repay too.

But for as much as Jeff Lloyd made a big deal about the ELA ........ this AudGen revelation makes him and his senior managers look very hypocritical and disingenuous (crooked).

Tear down everything on Bay Street and start over ........... make some money from a valuable downtown waterfront (more than a cruise port) and pay down on the Debt.

Then Govt can take some of that new money and spend on all kinds of Climate Change projects ............ Kill 3 birds with a New Downtown
