At least the Pineridge constituency HAD an elected party branch executive council ........... many do not have any ............ The generals are the "council" for many MPs.
These (Nassau) central executive officers who so-called "run" the party, are simply henchmen for the (plp/fnm) Cabinet MPs ......... there is NO democracy in either of the major parties .............. What a shame and a disgrace.
Wonder where the FNM Long Island Branch Council that was in place when LBT was MP is now???? .................. No public elections were held ........... I suppose the "coup" has already taken place there.
JoeBlow .......... our systems of fiscal checks and balances are so toothless, that any half-ass accountant can "cook the books" to siphon off public funds or launder the funds or receive kickbacks or get fake accounts or companies to get contracts etc ............ Status quo rules & the FNM will not radically change the system either.
The FNM has a less brazen form of corruption & nepotism ......... ALL Bahamian politicians have a weakness for corruption & nepotism ....... But Perry's 2012-17 Cabinet took the cake.
Perry "Vomit" Christie is the blame for ALL this mess in this country ........ He gave us VAT, 4 downgrades, legalized webshops, 4 murder records, and this stupid imported Carnival garbage .......... He deserves NO honours or pension.
Too many khakis on the RBPF ........... this is the basic problem ........ Cannot find sensible job descriptions for all of the khakis .......... And they all have been on the job for at least 25 years and want to stay there until they are forced to go home ...... Sweet, soft, easy office/car jobs with minimum education and good salaries.
