Unfortunate, sad situation ............ May all of the RBDF officers and their families be remembered in our prayers .......... We sure hope that this is a wake-up call for them.
Why should any bona fide Bahamian citizen have to pay at least $1,000 to fly to Nassau from the far-flung Out Islands and spend 2-3 days in Nassau at the Passport Office to get a renewal?????? .............. Why do we have an OPM/Administrator's Office there????????
This is how unreasonable, out-dated, and inconvenient our Government services are to the Out Island "colony" citizens
Parliamentarians pay into a contributory pension plan ......... The BIG problem in this country is that the civil service pension plan is a non-contributory scheme that has the Government on hook for at least $1.5 Billion per year now.
This is unsustainable ........... but NO politician has the BALLS to touch that.
The Water Tower alone can earn $500,000 a year .......... but the stupid Bahamian Government has closed it down for 15-20 years .......... This is the poster child of NO vision for cultural tourism.
