**The report notes: “The UN Women narrative on gender-based violence in Caribbean cites: ‘While the worldwide average for rape was 15 per 100,000, The Bahamas had an average of 133, St Vincent and the Grenadines 112, Jamaica 51, Dominica 34, Barbados 25 and Trinidad and Tobago 18’.**
In war zones in Africa and Middle East, rape is used as a normal tool of the victors ....... So what the UN is saying that Asia, Europe and N America have no rape problems???? Bullshit!!!!!
It is hard to believe these numbers without seeing ALL of the countries ...... this sounds biased.
What about cleaning out at least 30% of these lousy police officers??? ........ aka dirty cops
These cops surely see, hear and touch what is going on in their personal neighbourhoods. Cops live in every HOT crime spot in Nassau .......... yet crime goes on with little improvement in Kemp Road, Carmichael, Montell, Yellow Elder, Chippingham etc .......... and cops live there, too.
Parents take this for granted .......... unfiltered kids are an embarrassment to their parents ... and ill-disciplined as teenagers ..... Bend those tongues early
Bahamians spend big on food, fuel and clothes ....... how much VAT can the Government collect on that now??? ....... Did the new VAT rules not cut into those big VAT earners?????? ........ So that is why VAT is down this year!!!!!!
Reminder ........... Our Minister of Finance went to Prairie View University ........ SMH
Not only should they meet the deadline ........ but those forms should be published for the public to read them ................. that is democracy and transparency.
We are still waiting for the Speaker to update The People on those 3 members who did not disclose last year (2017-18) ........... Maybe he thinks we forgot that ........... SMT.
This system is so wutless ........... and has NO independent teeth ...... the PDC cannot do a damn thing, the power is still in the hands of the beguiling, secretive party bosses (Minnis & Davis).
