Very good move by the Global South ............ cannot imagine that the OECD will go down without a fight to protect its wealth that it partially got by exploiting the Global South.
This is a serious indictment on our democracy .............. the PLP government shamelessly paraded the organs of the State during the by-election as if they were PLP pawns. Ingraham & Wallace are very right about the abuse of the State by the Davis government.
On the other hand, if Wallace is correct that FNM supporters are not voting unless they are given "gifts", this will be a disaster for that party (given the several factions). PLP supporters expect to be "taken care of" by their bagmen, but the FNM has been seen as the party of higher morals/ethics. This shift in the mentality of so-called FNM supporters who are looking for handouts is muddying the political waters.
This was a PLP Cabinet and bagman (full of promises) win ........... this had nothing to do with Kingsley Smith.
The cruel reality is that Smith will probably be left to pick up the "Cabinet lies" all on his own in 2026. Smith is a "dead head" and is the fartheset thing from the personality of Obie.
So, if he doesn't have the ONIONS to demand that all of the Cabinet promises be kept by 2026, then he will be a big fool to go beyond this term.
Just like during the 2021 election, the PLP has won - with barely 50% of the WGB/Bimini voters having voted ............ and barely 30% of the total constituency electorate endorsed the PLP. Not good at all.
Little confidence in the parties and the candidates, the democratic system is broken. Voters are generally turned off and only the elderly die-hards (on both sides) are coming out to vote. The U40 age group do not really see the sense in voting for the candidates who are being put up by BOTH parties at this time. Yet, independents and third parties are not attracting any traction either.
Pintard should have regrets .............. and huge concerns:
1. He decided to get in bed with Papa, who threw the FNM under the bus for the last 10+ years. Papa cannot lose, but Pintard is on the slippery slope right now.
2. He blocked and excluded PM Hubert Minnis from the bye-election, and lost. That is at least 40% of the FNM base that were "dissed" by the Pintard/Sands/HAI faction. That group sat on their vote.
3. He did not have a comeback winning message in the face of the PLP garbage and mudslinging.
4. He has no killer instinct when it comes to taking out Brave (wonder why?) Scared of being the next one to be investigated, huh???????
5. He relied on the old soldiers ........... but the U40 voters didnot vote. Aka "out of touch"

My apologies ....... Correction, the PM has too much power over the people.
He is a glorified non-elected dictator based on Pindling's 1973 Constitution.
We elect MPs, then they do as they wish to abuse us in Parliament.

The PLP bragged that Long Island would have had a by-election since last year. But look at God.
This by-election has made it clear how nasty and deceitful the PLP can be. If the people turn out to vote like 2017, the FNM wins easily.
