Without functioning feed mills, abbotoirs and canning facilities, agriculture in this country is not going to expand and the value added to the raw farm products will not become a viable 242 import substitution business.
Each major farming island needs a duly regulated & constituted farmer's cooperative and then each island farmers cooperative can own and manage ALL of the agro-industry means of production on that island. Govt can subsidize each cooperative and limit imports by the food conglomerates. That is a workable PPP.
Then we will see progress towards food sovereignty.
The present "parents" of this 242 GenZ group of students are products of the GenX & Millennial generations who were either products of the Pindling drug era hookups, crack babies, criminal freewheelers, enlightened bougie parents, or firstgen social media addicts ...... They see the kids as their friends and suffer from the "good child" syndrome.
Whatever else they are, these parents are hoodwinked by the most egotistical, selfish generation ever created on this planet.
Fighting a lost cause in this country. Need some WW2 vets to spread wisdom. Too late
Fred Mitchell and Alfred Sears orchestrated those House rules under the first Christie government in 2002 .............. So, why do they find them so hard to keep???
Why is the New Day PLP so shameless at breaking the country's parliamentary laws??????
The FNM should have thrown the Mace and all of the law books out of the window just like Milo Butler & Pindling did back in 1965. And Fred, Obie, and Alfred with them.
Fred and his Cabinet colleagues are disgraceful, shameless, and a danger to 242 democracy.
UB is not inept, it is limited in the STEM field ......... but you are right about those who go overseas (on a Govt or local private scholarship) and never return.
That is bleeding the country dry of skilled personnel and the country is getting NO return on its financial investment in these "smart" children (brain drain).
Pindling waved the white towel when he fired Roker, Ingraham hung the towel on a pole in Abaco in the middle of Marsh Harbour, Christie didn't recognize that a towel was waving & when Minnis tried to take the towel down in Abaco, the PLP judges said "don't touch it".
Brave wants to hoist a new Haitian flag to replace the white towel.

But .............. wasn't she the same Judge who stopped the FNM from demolishing the Abaco shanty towns????????
So .......... Brave and his lawyers used her to frustrate the FNM in 2018 ..... and now he uses her to get his way with this national/political mess.
These PLP politicians are not governing this country in the best interest of its citizens.
