If Haiti, USA, or Cuba was to invade The Bahamas, as Russia invaded the Ukraine ........ what will we do?????? ........... The similarities are very eerily similar.

That seems to be our imminent future ................. to be expunged from the records of History

Pindling met many of the problems here ........... he left many as he met them .......... the other 4 PMs have done the same .............. the "next generation" don't seem too motivated to change anything ........... the millenials and GenZ crew are leaving for greener pastures.

Our present adult population and leaders are good at talking, pomp & pageantry, and setting up committees, but lousy at planning for REAL progress and change.

Taxis in Nassau are ineffective and inefficient ........... Nassau needs a serious overhaul of its public transportation system and a serious shift in how its population is moved from point A to point B 24/7.

Dependency on private vehicles has created serious transportation challenges in the Caribbean's most densely populated city due to political and personal choices over the past 50 years.

The 242 politicians are only willing to change the laws that benefit their political fortunes or the pockets of their main benefactors. We see and hear of a lot of Bills being introduced and debates taking place and the launching of Committees and Commissions with much fanfare.
Acts are passed with much banging on the desks or tables in Parliament.

BUT .......... hard decisions are kicked down the road OR a facade is created that reform is happening, but it is not changing the status quo (FOIA is a classic case)

If everything in the Solomon's foodstore is imported, there is very little value-added increase in the local economy.

Just another new shiny object for a few basic rate jobs.

Thank God that there are international financial agencies and US law enforcement agencies who will investigate these white collar crimes because it affects them as well.

We cannot pretend to believe that our SCB and RBPF will ever solve this FTX mess. Too many Bahamian political hands are in SBF cookie jar to allow scb & rbpf to be impartial and thorough in any FTX investigation here in The Bahamas.

What did the AG say that added to what we already know?

Leo the Lion didn't say why Albany is harbouring the kid and when the Govt will facilitate his extradition to the USA.

If it was a black drug dealer his ass would have been in Miami, Atlanta or NY jail longtime.
