Coming up with the definitive solution to sea level rising will take some time. Time which some nations or area's do not have. So what phenomena other than climate change causes sea levels to rise and fall twice a day? Yes, the moon of course. In the Bahamas we have about a 3 foot difference between low- and high tide. What if there was no gravitational pull from the moon, the higher sea level would be an even 18 inches lower, hopefully giving us time to come up with a real solution. So how to negate the effect of the moon? Several options, like blow it up, move it further away, add other moons to balance the effect (and fill them with all that plastic refuge or even ocean water). I am sure scientist can come up with more options. Once the climate change is under control, we revert it all back to where it was, or maybe we will not want to miss those bright new moons we created.
With an information system so complex (requirement detail, planning, privacy, security, migration, ....) it is a huge undertaking to even collect (all) the requirements. If a vendor has a system that comes close to what you want it then becomes a matter of "What of the organization will you integrate into the system, and what from the system will you integrate into the organization". If the balance is to the first, then there will be higher cost to the tailoring of the system. If the balance leans to the second you will mostly get resistance from the people that will eventually work with it, usually causing implementation to fail if it leans to far.
“Whatever BPL needs, BPL will get", this is great!!! Not only do we give the company away, we also give them carte blanche to spend whatever they like. Great negotiation position this PM maneuvers himself into.
Is this the new official spokesperson for BPL? How many people actually work there? shouldn't the well being of 260.000 people weigh heavier than the couple hundred union members?
As usual, doing the math. $2M monthly on interest, while we also rent 105MW (=50%) ?!?!?!?! So what loans were those, if we are currently renting half the capacity, and what cost is that rent? Are we still paying off loans for the purchase of half-crippled generating capacity from way back? Maybe some priority should be given to refinancing or paying off these loans, that way the consumer might see some direct good from it.
