I see your logic, but the jump from just below $10,000 to just above is too wide a gap. If you're making just under $10,000 instead of wanting a raise, you would more than likely wouldn't want a raise and if you get one you may look for a new job, because most raises wouldn't be big enough to see and increase.
PLP can't install runway lights in 12 months, and the FNM can't finish a road project in the allotted time. By the way, I travel to Nassau during the FNM administration and it was dirty then.
As a Bahamian living in the US, I agree with a lot of your post, however, the US has the same poorly educated voting citizenry. The only difference is the citizenry in the US has programs that could get them through college almost for free and they don't take advantage of it.
I like your list, but I would say that the government needs to sponser secondary education. Start the student loan program back up, but have it exclusively to COB or any school in the country, I understand that the government don't want people taking the loans and staying in the country where they recieve their education in order to default in there loan, however, a more educated society is a better one.
Both the FNM and the PLP believe that they could try and use ploy like the one you mention to Bahamians, because they feel as though the typical Bahamian don't have much brains.
