I don't know how far apart the houses are in that community, but I think as neighbors we have to be watchful of what is going on in our community because next time it could be our house, but then again if the police is going to take two hours it wouldn't the matter anyways.
The Bahamas is behind in worker saftey but how can you be 200-300 years behind? he main to say even what was being done 200-300 years ago isn't being done now, this is greatly exaggerated like most Bahamian stories.
If the board new and sign off on him renting an apartment for his family member then the board should be next on the list. This person didn't address all of the other allegations concerning alll of the contracts going to people that is close to him.
What kind of point was Milcheal Kemp trying to make? He is asking a witness, who happens to be a police if she knows what divine means and what is the second and last book of the bible, what does that have to do with being a witness to a crime? This police could have been an athiest who never step foot into a church or neverread the bible, the point is she was a witness. The judge should have stop him in his tracks with those questions.
If someone will take the risk to illegally fish in our water even though they risk getting their boat and equipment take from them along with five years in prison, I don't think 25 years and $250,000 will deter them because for one they wouldn't have the money anyway so the boat means more to them than the money. The solution is to beef up security in our waters as well as work with the D.R government on how to help replenish their waters as well as encouraging them to only allow a certain amount of boat license in order to help with overfishing in their country.
Concernedcitizen, it is the same thing in the U.S concerning drugs. Drugs smuggle from the Bahamas and neighboring countries and it is our fault, guns smuggle from the U.S here and it is still our fault. They can do a better job with illegal guns just as much as these little countries can do a better job with illegal drugs and concerning the smuggling part I will think it is easier to find a gun going through the airport, in containers, or on boats, than it is to find drugs.
The mighty U.S wants to hold everyone responsible for their drug appetite, now with these records on guns entering the Bahamas through Florida, I wonder if they feel the least bit responsible for it, probably not.
Drive down stock prices before going forward and giving the o.k, this will give those with inside knowledge a better chance at buying in at the lowest price.
It should be illegal to buy products without showing ownership papers, a person can't buy a car or house without it, but they let the pawn shop get away with it.
The used of that phrase to define a white Bahamian isn't necessary, however, the fact that he is white will make it very hard to be prime minister in the Bahamas. As hard is it was for a black man to be president of the U.S, it is even harder for a white man in the Bahamas, because the U.S have minorities approaching the numbers of the majority whites. In the Bahamas most people are black even if they are of Haitian decend or some other caribbean island and I don't see them voting for a white man, i'm not saying they shouldn't but I don't see it.
