LisaG, in order for the PLP or any government to make you feel that way, you would have to be foolish from the jump start. Don't you want to identify the criminals? How many murders or other crimes are unsolve in the Bahamas? If it is a good idea for CCTV I would trade added expense for safety any day, when crime goes down a lot of money that have been spent on negative things like premature funeral services, overtime for policemen and other stuff could be use for doing positive things. The only market that is booming is the Mortuary in these cases.Really I don't want to get on you but most of your points weren't really good ones..

You can't expect a government to come into power and crime stops the first day, that isn't reasonable and i'm not a PLP. Give them time to see what new plans are being implemented to see how crime is going to be curb, Dr. Rollins is on the right page on this one with CCTV and put them just about everywhere, this will help a great deal.

I think this is a learning experience for the DNA and Branville Mccartney, this country was really looking for an alternative to what we had and what we now have but Branville said somethings that hurt the party. Next election he would be more polish and know what to say and what to don't say for the most part and then the country would go in a different direction with the DNA providing the PLP doesn't do anything great. By the time next election comes around you would have students who is now in the 8th grade voting, so there is a lot more young people going to the poll in 2017 and I think even the older generation would say enough is enough if the PLP fail and give the DNA a chance rather than chasing the their tail with the FNM.

Whomever wins the election they will drill for oil, everyone is just trying to play both sides of the field, there is a lot at stake here and the Bahamas is so much of a servant to the U.S or China that even if they don't want to do it, they will more than likely be force too. It is not a bad decision anyway because if Cuba drill and sometime happens the Bahamas will still get poluted so you might as well get the benefit if the risk is still present.

Coopers town is not the only settlement in the Bahamas, he don't need to gather voters from that constituency because he will win that hands down, but when you make this comment people from other islands can say what about us and see this as an insult.

Stop this political stunt; why should Shane Gibson apologize for what someone else have done? No way should he condoned it but not apologize, in a country of over 300,000 people you mean to tell me that only the PLP is doing foolishness like this? This could be political stunts by the FNM to gather votes and I'm against both party in this election. First you have this and then someone spray a dog with the letters FNM, either the media is one-sided or we have people doing this for bad publicity for the PLP, in the end people will figure out some of these things that is going on.

If the rest of the world is going to free trade then why is the Bahamas still only depending on tourism and banking? This is what i'm talking about finding some other industry to bring the country into the 21st century. A country that can at-least be self sufficient in taking care of these simple things like feeding your own people.Everything you see in that economics 101 book is not necessarily to help you, it is to help you make money for that wealthy owner of a corperation and give you an hourly salary out of it, learning to make your self efficient you would never see that in that book.

Now Branville is getting back to the basics, The Bahamas needs to empower its citizens to create an economy, in fact we could do a lot with Haiti in terms of trade to help both countries and this will help the influx of Haitians into the Bahamas. The government could give out loans to Bahamians who is making Bahamian products and penalize those that bring in those same product from abroad by charging higher customs on it. There is no reason for a tropical country not to produce some of the products that is imported like produce, the only things that should be imported is things like apples that can't grow in the Bahamas. In terms of clothing, this country should be able to produce sheep for wool and food, cotton for materials, these things have been done in the caribbean before and could still be done. Now if the Bahamas get the energy situation figure out it will be cheap to do all of these things, and a tropical country like the Bahamas is in a prime location for just about any type of alternative energy from hydro, solar, and wind.

I agree with him, you could be instrumental in a party and not be the leader, also Bahamians need to stop giving allegiance to parties because time changes and people changes. Do what is in the best interest of the country.
