I thought this subject would be pretty much worn out and dead by now. I guess the people favor distraction over fixing things. True, so distract them then.
How many customers BPL has? What is the average charge per customer? How many active employees BPL has? What is the average salary per employee? What is BPL fuel cost to power their generators, vehicles, or buildings, etc.? Now how much is wasted, or squandered? If we know these figures, we will know why BPL has this huge debt they are about to further burden us with. I can assure you BPL is collecting a lot more than it needs to function properly. It is becoming increasingly apparent that governments are here to restrict us with nothing but burden.
The only difference about this fire for these people is their spending’s might integrate directly (somewhat more or less) into the economy. Their B$ will change hands, it will go from shanty town landlords shacks packed like sardines in a can into the hands of landlords with houses and apartments in residential areas. Nothing else will change, they might reside in your neighborhood and continue to be packed like sardines in a can, except they will be near you. That’s it, nothing others might come out of this.
So the other day Boris Johnson claims the President of Russia threatened to kill him in a missile strike. Why would the President of Russia want to do such a useless thing to a pawn it wouldn’t change a thing. So why would anyone threaten Mr Davis , it wouldn’t change a thing. Like all the other pawns he is only a representative of a larger order carrying out orders. These fellers are good at theatre and derelict in the aim of their public duties. So distracting the public is all they have to give.
They know this is what Bahamians fall for, a show. So instead of a fix, they put on a show. They know everyone will get lost in the show and forget what this is about. No wonder why nothing ever gets fixed around here.
