I am serious, they are handling these changes/promotions, etc. so poorly. Dames got some serious issues. Dames and Minnis must be best friends cause they really act a lot alike.

The Bible says to obey the laws of the land in Romans 13. I don't agree with many things this government is doing, but the law is the law!!!

I don't know what bible she reading!! People need to stop putting God in things. She's speaking for herself and not God! God has already spoken!!! smh

Amen. Testing here is a joke.

But what I've seen is that the Caribbean in general has a low death rate. This is quite peculiar especially with developed nations having top-notch hospitals. Researchers need to study why this is the case. Several Caribbean countries with less restrictions than we have, have less deaths. So it's not related to lock-downs.
But this should be looked into by researchers.
Yeah, it **doesn't** seem like this government will be able to chew gum and walk. There's only **3 weeks** before the start of the hurricane season. We can only pray that the Good Lord keeps the severe hurricanes away from our shores because we simply won't be ready.

Sufficient businesses won't even be open for the amount of hours needed for people to prepare their homes with all the materials they have to procure when a hurricane passes.
May the Lord be with us all!

All it actually means is that **testing is not being done** properly.
Lack of testing will always result in no cases. smh

But I guess living in this fairy tale land where there is no new cases in The Bahamas, which has one of the lousiest health care systems in the world must feel great.
I guess as they say... (the government's) ignorance is bliss!

So if many **major companies** are not paying NIB and **stealing without penalty**... where will NIB continue to find the millions to pay employees? Employers are allowed to steal and put government at the short end of the stick. But the poor man still has to pay all his taxes. This practice is disgraceful. The government is disgraceful for allowing it to continue!!!

But if someone **breaks quarantine** they have to pay a huge fine and/or face 5 years in prison?? You people are out of your mind!!!

The police are heartless and the government is heartless!!

Flattened what curve exactly??
You don't even know half the number of people who are infected here because of a lack of testing. This junk science y'all are using to justify closing all these businesses for yet another 30 days makes no sense.

I mean if they ramped up testing and the number of cases shot up let's say in a week due to more testing (while lowering the mortality rate) then this would make sense. Then if you kept up with **large scale testing** and the number of cases went down, then you can say the curve was flattened. But for now this is all just guess work... and not even educated guessing! smh

Bear in mind, Sands was the same person all over the news when the news of this first broke in China saying that the seasonal flu kills more people (not considering the death rate of the seasonal flu is 0.1 % ). Sorry Sands, your reliability on this has been shaky from the beginning.

If you're not going to use any real science to determine anything, let the businesses open up for more days with masks and social distancing.

You have made some good points.
I think the fines are ridiculous as well. I read a story today about a man who was arrested because he used $32 worth of expired food stamps at Super Value.

I couldn't believe what I read. Obviously this person is hungry. If the food stamps were expired... just tell him they are expired and let him go. Why arrest someone who obviously just wants something to eat like many people out here now.
To me, it's the government who has become heartless... not the business owners!!!
