The police are heartless and the government is heartless!!

Flattened what curve exactly??
You don't even know half the number of people who are infected here because of a lack of testing. This junk science y'all are using to justify closing all these businesses for yet another 30 days makes no sense.

I mean if they ramped up testing and the number of cases shot up let's say in a week due to more testing (while lowering the mortality rate) then this would make sense. Then if you kept up with **large scale testing** and the number of cases went down, then you can say the curve was flattened. But for now this is all just guess work... and not even educated guessing! smh

Bear in mind, Sands was the same person all over the news when the news of this first broke in China saying that the seasonal flu kills more people (not considering the death rate of the seasonal flu is 0.1 % ). Sorry Sands, your reliability on this has been shaky from the beginning.

If you're not going to use any real science to determine anything, let the businesses open up for more days with masks and social distancing.

You have made some good points.
I think the fines are ridiculous as well. I read a story today about a man who was arrested because he used $32 worth of expired food stamps at Super Value.

I couldn't believe what I read. Obviously this person is hungry. If the food stamps were expired... just tell him they are expired and let him go. Why arrest someone who obviously just wants something to eat like many people out here now.
To me, it's the government who has become heartless... not the business owners!!!

More businesses need to open during the month of May. Just continue mandatory face masks and social distancing. There are definitely not enough days for businesses to be open.
People are going to get more frustrated as time goes on.

I heard they are giving Bahamian patients hydroxychloroquine as well. (I guess because Trump said it) SMH

This is a quote on CNN from the FDA:
"**The drugs, hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine**, should only be used in clinical trials because they **can kill** or cause serious side effects, the FDA said. These include serious heart rhythm problems in Covid-19 patients treated with the drugs, especially when they are combined with the antibiotic azithromycin."

Yeah, opening churches at this time would be ridiculous. What is the council thinking? This shows me that they aren't genuine about helping people. What would be the point of opening now?

Many churches are having services virtually and on TV. Plus, there is always a lockdown on Sundays. The "church" goes beyond the building. If you want to help people, help them. You don't need the building opened for gatherings to do that! smh

Yep and definitely better that what I saw on CNN 2 weeks ago. A doctor was told to clip a sheet protector onto his eye wear, to protect himself when putting a covid patient on a ventilator -due to lack of PPE. Maybe they should send some to that hospital too.

The international bank - **First Atlantic**, based in the Caribbean I think, has a very reliable payment gateway for online payments. (PS- *I have no affiliation with the company*, I just noticed that their service is secure.)
If you pay Cable Bahamas online, Colina, etc. you will notice when the payment is going through, at the top of the screen it mentions... contacting bank... First Atlantic... or something like that.

I think this novel delivery company needs to ensure that they are using a reliable payment gateway. Some online gateways that use Bahamian banks have a colorful history. Just a thought! A word to the wise... and all that good stuff!!!

Brave, your head ain't good. Minnis needs to allow more businesses to open and just enforce social distancing. If he wants to limit the days then ok, but give each business at least 2 or 3 days.

If the grocery stores can do it, I'm sure other businesses can do it (probably better). Masks are now mandatory. Give people fines for not wearing masks and I think that the numbers won't be much different if we do this for now.
I know the FNM is doing a horrible job at dealing with Covid, but I'm not convinced the PLP would be much different. SMH

Moncurcool I figured that a major landscaping company has contributed to the FNM campaign or someone in government or their family owns major landscaping companies... (rolling eyes). Cause there's no logic to the lunacy that's happening around here!!
