I don't care what anyone says here. For those born in The Bahamas this is a cruel practice. There have been persons who applied for citizenship when they turned 18 and are now around his age and still waiting.
We all know the slow pace of our government.

Despite what callous remarks that will be made here, I try to think about what it would be like if I was in their shoes (being born here and not knowing any other country, then suddenly being shipped off to a strange place.)
Just because my deceased parents were Bahamian, doesn't mean I can't empathize with the plight of these people.
[Okay now commenters, give it your best shot to say something unnecessary and confrontational... God bless all of you anyway. Much love.]
This is why Dames and company just need to be quiet and do their jobs! Every time they go to the media and pat themselves on the back, the killing spree starts again! smh
Yep, and I'm sure this is under reported as well. Just look at the case of that teen boy assaulting those school girls walking home in the Big Pond area...how many more cases like that exist that we never hear about?

Hey- but Marvin says crime going down man, and Minnis says everyone feels safe now! [suk teet]
You cannot stop every murder? Oh wow, it's so good that you clarified that for us!
I mean if he had NOT said that, I truly wouldn't have known that at all.

"**And so I am confident that we are on track**..." Watch out Marvin, your hubris is showing again...SMH
I really think The Bahamas should abstain from getting involved in this. This is a fight the US took on that probably will only escalate issues in Venezuela very quickly.
Let's be real here for a second though!
These "kisses go with favors" contracts are still being handed out. Both the PLP and FNM do this nonsense. Many professional companies never stand a chance to be awarded anything because they're NOT kissin' hip. It's highly doubtful that true transparency and lack of corruption will ever be achieved in this country!
Can anyone see the irony here? Teachers cannot touch students in any way, and are sometimes reprimanded if their words are too harsh!
But teachers can get beaten up by students and nothing happens to them... interesting!
