I always get backlash for this because of the xenophobic nature of our society but I feel there has to be a way to be fair to Bahamians, while still treating Haitians with more respect than they are shown. I don't believe in shanty towns... but besides that many Bahamians treat Haitians terribly (as if they are sub-human).

Yet at the same time we call ourselves a "Christian" nation. God created all of us equally. We will be judged by the way we treat our fellow man. Let's hold up the laws of the land, but do so in a humane manner. (I don't know what the solution is but let's remember that God made them too.)
Agreed. This is the first thing that Duane Sands said that I agree with. The HIV statistics in this country are staggering and at the same time so many people are pretending to be "holier than thou".
Some people will say that this will encourage youngsters to have sex (but news flash... they're already having sex). We have to get young folk (and single older folk on that note) to get the point to say "I will not have sex with you unless it's with protection".

Abstinence is a good thing (for those who will actually abstain). I commend the young folk who take that stance and actually live by it. However, many young people don't and in those cases they should have more options for protection.
I agree with the family. That monstrosity should have never been placed there. My condolences to the Carey family. What a terrible and unnecessary loss.
I totally agree with you MadHatter that the Westminster system needs some rethinking (remnants of colonialism still in place to shackle us). I am also impressed with T. Robinson. I heard him speak on the news this morning. He seems like a young man with good principles.

The ruling government (be it FNM or PLP) will likely never change that rule to always vote in support of whatever they present because it suits their agenda more than the Bahamian people.
Unfortunately, in our system the agenda of the politicians will always trump the needs of the people. Sad!
Lol interesting. You may want to add a psychological evaluation as well for when these body cams magically cannot turn on.
But on a serious note, the psych test is also a good idea because I'm sure some of these officers suffer PTSD (with all of these gruesome crimes and dangerous criminals).
OMG, everyday there is new nonsense. They already fired them, what more do they want? Just a day ago the "die-hard" FNMs here were saying they went against protocol and they should be fired. Okay, so when does it end? This is why I'm NOT a 'die-hard' anything. I vote for the person representing me (sometimes FNM, sometimes not).
This is utter nonsense!
Well_mudda I believe it was you who said the FNM will now make the political life of these gentlemen miserable - good prediction. I didn't realize how petty the FNM could be. I am very disappointed.
