Last I checked, the politicians and doctors are trying to lock us down to protect us. This is not even remotely true and I wish commenters would stop making this specious point. If you reduce the size of the corporations/government ministries, then who will be the first to be let go? Unskilled and/or unproductive workers, right? But guess what? Because they are unskilled and/or unproductive, they will not be able to find employment anywhere else. So then, they will all go to social services and become a strain on the government - just in a different form. So, the very problem that you are trying to address will not, in fact, be addressed.
