Moncur, based on your usually level-headed, intelligent comments, surely you are not so obtuse to see that - at the moment - if it were not for the civil service spending money, that this country would be even far worse now than it is. You have to keep the civil service employed at the moment. Once things return to our new normal, then we can go back and "right-size" the service.
I guess you have not been paying attention. But the point is not about "essential service" anymore. The numbers men proved, in accordance with the PM's address/emergency orders, that they can offer curbside service, so they should be allowed to open. This is very simple. They should be open.
Hubris at its finest. I assure you, Ms. Wallace, few, if any, want to see you in politics. You have nothing to offer the country that we havent seen 1,000 times before.
So, I am genuinely curious, DDK - not trying to be snarky at all. But, you are ok with people spending their last dollar on alcohol, but not numbers? Could you kindly explain the difference between the two, please?
Disagree, Bana10, this is "Jerry Falwell/Robert Jeffries/Pat Robertson" nonsense, masquerading as a form of spirituality - I intentionally did not use the word "Christianity". The moral argument either for, or against numbers houses has long since passed - like it or not, the PLP saw to that when they went against the wishes of the people. These so-called "pastors" are merely beating a dead horse that has long since been buried, prayed for and who's soul is with our ancestors.
