...sigh...ok, I will bite. I guess you missed the part where Dames clearly said, "may the best person win." Sure doesn't sound to me that he is suggesting that someone other than the most qualified person gets the job. But, go ahead, Chucky, continue to with your angry and illogical monologue.
Disagree sheep. I blame YOU(!)...and me, and everyone else that incessantly whine and complain on this comment board every day, for electing the same lawyers and accountants. If we fatuously and imprudently elect the same people cycle after cycle, is it not us, the voter, that should draw the ire that we so self- righteously lob at the politician?
Oh stop being pedantic, Chucky! In this instance the verb "give" is clearly used in the context of "extend" or "provide" or "allow", take your pick. And, if you read the article, it is very clear that MacAlpine is not suggesting that Bahamians should be given anything. Good grief, the nonsense that is posted on these comment pages.
Disagree. If you are ambivalent about, or elect not to vote, then tough. You can't complain on talk shows, or in group chats or on Tribune comment boards and neglect to participate, i.e., vote. Your slothfulness should not stop whatever decisions that need to be made, and have been made, by those who elect to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
Yes, and that is why they were kicked out of office, twice, after only one term in government. That has nothing to do with what Fweddy is arguing now. The FNM provided copious propaganda regarding the supposedly illegal hiring of all these people, made a grand spectacle of firing them, and stopping their income, i.e., the means with which they feed themselves and their families, and then they (FNM) go right back and re-hire the people. Fweddy is right, that is utter nonsense. Let's stop being childish and talking about things that happened 12 years ago to justify the specious behavior of this government. SMDH.
