Now that I think about it, it doesn’t exist in the vocabulary of politicians either!

Productivity!
A word that doesn’t exist in the vocabulary of 90% of Bahamian workers, most especially those belonging to the Unions.

@hoda,
Don’t even waste your time on that old crab, Birdie know what time it is. Was sitting small back in the day when da Chief was a tief and was eating coco plum jam from Normans Cay. Didn’t have much to say when Brave dem let BAMSI burn down and lie bout the insurance, then try to justify twice the original amount to build it back.Ain’t had nuttin much to say when da janitoress in Grand Bahama tief da urban renewal money or when dat fella in Golden Gates was in da shingle business. The PLP’s don’t call it tiefin cause God gave this land to the PLP.

All this trash talk about white privilege and slavery from bottom feeders like Bradley Armbrister deliberately reopening an old wound then twisting the knife, but the fact remains that after more than fifty years of self rule we are still incapable of controlling our more primal urges and cannot even protect our own children in our own homes. And of course the next step is to abolish The Monarchy removing the last vestiges of civilization from our society and government.
Black people in The Bahamas hate white people, true, but they hate black people more.
How many more innocents have to be sacrificed on the alter of poor governance and public indifference before we the people say ENOUGH!!!

An excellent piece, should be required reading in all of our schools for the next term, not to mention by those who both govern and who seek to govern.
Unfortunately, as is often said in this country, “You can take the man out of the bush, but you can’t take the bush out of the man!”

This country is truly finished, no matter what the subject all we ever do is criticize or shoot the messenger but are incapable of presenting a single original idea of our own. If it’s a PLP idea it’s bad, if it’s an FNM idea it’s bad. If it’s a white mans idea he trying to manipulate and enslave us again.⛓
If it makes sense it’s definitely a bad idea. The only original thinkers we have left to turn too are Tal and Tribinon, Bahamians will smell shit in a rose 🌹.

Another brain fart from the RBPF’s finest.
Instead of taking the usual dose of suppositories to clear their thinking perhaps they should indeed sample the evidence.
Free ya mind, ya ass will surely follow.......

Where’s will all of the largesse to fund all of this come from now that the money trees down to BAMSI are being harvested by the competent authority and with donor in chief Peter Pan in jail?

@Godspeed,
Couldn’t agree with you more,we have all the “diversity” we need having transformed our country to FUBAR status with neither help nor encouragement from the white people in the short span of fifty years. I can comfortably say without fear of contradiction that we, as a people, have learned next to nothing during our quickly accelerating journey to the bottom and we can comfortably look forward to more of the same moving forward.

You state as a FACT that “colour continues to be used as a social passport vehicle for more light skinned Bahamians than dark skinned Bahamians.” By whom and to what end?
It is also a fact that there are many poor whites in our country whose whiteness hasn’t benefited them one iota, in fact their whiteness is an impediment to social advancement and acceptance in our predominantly black society with all of its still deep rooted prejudices and social stigmas.
So, if you separate the sheep from the goats, pun intended, being white in The Bahamas bestows no special privileges, only money can do that and the last time I checked that was still green
