Thats a pretty a curate summation of the the carnival convention and Mr. Sears sure as hell has some serious soul searching to do. But as another reverend PLP supporter once put it.
"principle don't put bread on da table."

Thats a big part of the problem Birdie. Probably 80% of them come from a one parent home and that one parent, the mother, isn't that far removed from childhood themselves. We won't go into their deadbeat fathers who don't even pay child support never mind provide guidance and broughtupsy.

This mans ego and attitude of self entitlement are enormous. If that wasn't enough to turn me off of him as a voter his remarks that he would withdraw his support and that of his family if not given a nomination took the cake. Then he put the icing on it by " I'm going to let this play out before making the best choice in MY interest."
Thats the problem the electorate have difficulty coming to terms with: you're not concerned with OUR interests or those of the country.
We're not interested in your interests, you and all those other political parasites need to dry up and blow away.

No surprises here. It is easy to win reelection when the votes required are already bought, paid for and counted prior to the first ballot being cast.
The next question is, where does Alfred now go after being so cavalierly treated and rejected by his democratic peers?

themessenger says...

So it fine for Leslie Miller to make remarks about supposed factions of the 50 year defunct United Bahamian Party who in his words "couldn't give a dam about poor potcakes," read Negros," I'm talking about white Bahamians. Most of them have always been against us. From the time we took over the reigns of government in 1967." Fine for Archdeacon Palacious to say black people breed to much while white man Richard Lightbourn is vilified for saying the same thing. Fine for arch racist Fred Mitchell to demonize white permanent resident and benefactor of many Bahamians Louis Bacon.
Nah, none of those remarks from those worthy black gentlemen could possibly be construed as racist
Sounds to me like the pot calling kettle black.

On EDITORIAL: Will Fred Mitchell now apologise?
