Brave Davis didn't resign when he lied to Parliament about the BAMSI fire insurance, Minnis didn't resign over the Oban debacle, Sears won't resign over this either. The precedent for politicians lying to the Bahamian public was set long ago so why does anyone expect anything different now? As Birdie is so fond of reminding us, it's okay for Sears to do it because the others did it too. With that sort of leadership as an example and condoned by the Birdie brained masses, no wonder this country has become such a s**t hole!
I read the news today, oh boy, 10,000 holes in dirty Nassau town. And though the holes were rather small, we had to count them all, and now we know how many 'holes it takes to fill the Parliament Hall..............
@Porcupine, ma brudda, I feel for yinna down in Andros and tings ain no bettas here in Nassau. But as da saying goes, be careful what you wish for, you might get it, we da people wished for a new day and we getting it in spades. We da populaces ordinaire, also known as da commoners, have never in the last fifty years had, nor do we now, had a seat at da banquet, still grovelling to da masters dem for any crumbs they might condescend to scatter our way. The more things change the more they stay the same.
@TalRussell, ma comrade perhaps you should ask the residents of Village Road what their opinion of Mr. Sears DNA database is as it relates to managing potholes, Yes?
Steven, some cold and rain most Bahamians can deal with, however, you forgot to include in your list those other animals we have here in the Bahamas that are frequently found in our neighborhoods and homes who just as frequently wreak havoc on our persons and property and which insurance won't cover.
"What I also found was that Father God kept the leaders up to date on plots of the enemies and even destroyed many of them on behalf of His followers."
It's a pity Father God doesn't destroy our current enemies, aka politicians, that would make many of us born again and true believers.
Birdie that old Bahamian expression "when you dumb, you dangerous" was coined just for people like you. Alfred Sears may or may not be a good lawyer, but when it comes to engineering and construction, he probably doesn't know one end of a pickaxe from the other and probably can't change a lightbulb. The man is completely unsuitable for a Minister of Works, but then you would probably have a dentist look at your piles.

He might surprise us and resign, unlikely as it sounds, which would put a whole new meaning to “Honorable” as it relates to our politicians.
