Where was the RBDF security detail while all this was going on? Reverend Sebastian Campbell will probably nominate this lunatic for a “National Heroes” award If ignorance was money we’d have no National debt.
@Emilio26, don't pay bennie any mind, he's just a watery little ray of communist sunshine. Doesn't understand that dignity doesn't come with a college degree anymore than it does with a high school diploma. Dignity is about respect, self respect and respect for others not about wealth, and he is obviously of the mindset that princely salaries are the right of those not qualified to earn them. there is nothing demeaning or undignified about honest labor no matter how humble.
Repost: We have churned out, and continue to churn out, successive generations of poorly educated people with no skills, no ambition, no guidance and no realistic expectation of what it means to to work for a living, work being the operative word!

What Bahamian law, pray tell, Mr Ferguson is Brookfield/Atlantis breaking by requiring their employees to present an up to date negative Covid test result in order for them to enter the property?
@benniesun, aka Squealer, you're absolutely spot on, good of you to acknowledge you hogs are more equal than us lesser animals, keep up the propaganda it makes for amusing reading. Now go and report back to Napoleon like the good little piggy you are.
Well put. And yes, while the new minister deserves some time to "to get this right and to design a transition programme," he should remember that this is not about his ego or one - upsmanship, if it isn't broken why fix it?
As mentioned before, its easy to mandate the private sector pay ten dollars an hour, but as a business owner how do you justify paying that to staff who produce fifty cents worth an hour and tief a hundred dollars worth.
The Labour laws already preclude employers from firing worthless or teifing staff through ridiculous severance and redundancy awards and the greedy unionists want those increased. Why would anyone in their right mind want to start a business in this country.
We have churned out, and continue to churn out, successive generations of poorly educated people with no skills, no ambition, no guidance and no realistic expectation of what it means to to work for a living, work being the operative word!
The main reason that "vulnerable" Bahamians have to live at the same level and compete with immigrants for work is clear. We have been churning out successive generations of poorly educated people with no skills, no ambition, no guidance and no realistic expectation of what it means to go to work!
I guess the first cash infusion will cover the refurbishment of Pindling's Packing Houses and doing a Lazarus on Hatchet Bay Farms seeing as there hasn't been any reasonable ROI from BAMSI. I can see the Chinese lining up already salivating over their newest overseas investment in the fishing industry. Now they'll get to put that harbor they built in Abaco a few years ago to good use.
