ACP Stephen Dean said she was interdicted from duty. That means she was put on half pay and sent home pending the outcome of her case at the Police tribunal. She may well be fired but not untill the matter is finished. If she wins her case she is entitled to full back pay. There have been officers interdicted for years and some who have simply been sent home and was still receiving full pay in some cases more than 2 years later.

An officer may be interdicted when disciplinary proceedings for his/her dismissal are being undertaken or are about to be undertaken. Interdiction may also take place on the grounds that criminal charges are pending. In this case, the officer is placed on half salary.
An officer may also be interdicted if suspected of wrong doing even when no criminal charges are pending.

Name one FNM leader who didn't have their critics. The FNM is a coalition party with differing
voices under one tent, some louder than others. The key for Mr Minnis is to keep the tempest
stable enough to achieve success at the polls. This is something that was only accomplished successfully by Rt Hon Hubert Ingraham. He took the FNM changed it in many ways and made it his.Mr Minnis has to do it in his own way.The bickering was and always will be there.

Tasers against Ak-47's are you kidding me.Anyone who points a gun/fires at the police should know the results.A policeman is trained to shoot to kill to protect their life or another persons
life or to protect property. No warning shots or trying to hit the leg .The police officer follows certain rules and he knows he can face charges if he is found to be negligent. The politicians
should try going into a pitch black manhole 3am in the morning not knowing who or what awaits you then let me hear them complaining about police overtime.Pay the Police.

Mr Rolle lost his composure and disrespected the police officers pure and simple, We have all done and said things we regret later. He should be man enough and admit it ,apologize and he and the country can move on.I recall an incident at Jack Tar hotel in West End as retold by the late Sir Lynden Pindling where a security officer demanded that he get his butt out of the pool because the Prime Minister was coming to use it.Sir Lynden didnt throw a fit or demand that the security officer be fired he stated later I thank the young man for his diligence but but perhaps he should have known who i was.
