Apparently, for nearly a decade now, exceptionally quiet and remotely operated drones up to six feet in diameter, with excellent live night vision video equipment and pin point hovering capability a few feet above ground, have been used to make paid drops of guns, drugs, cigarettes, liquor, etc. in the prison yard under the cover of the darkest nights. It's said the entire operation is being run by a few very wealthy current and former senior prison officials with a small core group of trustworthy prison guards handsomely paid to assist with the night drops. Supposedly the drones have an operating range of up to nearly a mile and a half.

That would only be true if government's gasoline tax was a ***fixed amount*** per gallon no matter the price of a gallon at the pumps. But the government's gasoline tax is a ***fixed rate*** based on the price per gallon at the pumps. In other words, the higher the price per gallon, the more tax the government rakes in.

Fat headed Halkitis obviously thinks most Bahamians are D - educated to the point where they would not know the difference between a ***fixed amount*** of tax per gallon no matter the price per gallon and a ***fixed rate*** of tax per gallon which means the tax collected goes up as the price per gallon increases.

Many of us knew a long time ago this annoucement was coming, and at the worst possible time for so many Bahamians nearing retirement age.

This corrupt, incompetent and most cruel Davis and Cooper led PLP administration are now going to make us pay more for National Insurance while outrightly refusing to give us a Gas Tax Holiday for at least the rest of 2022 to help ease the extreme financial distress many of us are experiencing day in and day out.

Only a fool would continue making contributions to the National Insurance Fund. This Fund was long ago bankrupted by our corrupt elitist politicians (both PLP and FNM alike) and is now nothing but a struggling Ponzi scheme doomed to leave many Bahamians without the benefits they paid for and were hoping to receive upon their retirement.
