So says that 'mighty' incompetent weasel Keith Bell. LOL

Chester the Jester obviously takes no responsibilty and is really so full of it. Just a fraction of all the taxpayers' money he and his fellow cabinet ministers unnecessarily spend travelling abroad with their enormous entourages could have fixed this problem.

And don't get me going on the outrageous costs associated with the egregiously wastful empire for diplomats that Fwreddy Boy Mitchell is now building in way too many countries abroad! Just a little of all that money being flagrantly spent abroad could also have been used to fix this striking airport worker problem not to mention all of the other labour unrest issues that now looms large on the horizon.

These jokers are only too willing to squander taxpayer funds on 'the good life' they believe they were elected to enjoy, and to hell with governing our country in the interest of the Bahamian people. That's the sad reality of what's going on here.

> According to the Labour Minister {Keith Bell}, anyone who is found in contravention of the Industrial Relations Act can be liable to a fine of up to $200 or a prison sentence not exceeding three months or both.

It is ironical that our elected officials now have something in common with these striking workers. Neither of these two groups of people are willing to work, but for very different reasons of course. We know from our dire state on so many fronts that our elected officials are not properly governing our country, preferring instead to engage in petty politics as usual while wheeling and dealing behind the scenes to feather their own nests. And when our elected officials are not feathering their own nests, they are travelling the world at great expense to Bahamian taxpayers.

Perhaps Keith Bell and his fellow cabinet ministers should *"be liable to a fine of up to $200 or a prison sentence not exceeding three months or both"* if they continue to refuse to properly govern our country as they promised they would do if they were fortunate enough to be elected the next government.

Yes indeed, time will tell all there is to tell when it comes to your investment in the Bahamas Investment Fund.

tribanon says...

You're actually a **direct** shareholder in the Bahamas Investment Fund and, in turn, an **indirect** shareholder in the Nassau Cruise Port. And that means you're being razored to death by all the many different types of service fees the CFAL Group is charging the Bahamas Investment Fund. Suggest you carefully re-read the offering prospectus of the Bahamas Investment Fund. Good luck getting decent annual returns on your investment in the Bahamas Investment Fund, control of which the government has effectively given to Anthony Ferguson and his fellow bandits. LOL

And by the way, why are Brave Davis, Chester Cooper and Michael Maura all so tight lipped about their Turkish friends, who received such generous investment concessions from our government, planning to abandon the Bahamas by selling their controlling 49% stake in the Nassau Cruise Port to the global container shipping company MCS? Talk about a bait-and-switch transaction! LOL

tribanon says...

But corrupt Michael Maura will tell you the cruise ship owners and port operators are just giddy with delight at the prospects of the great riches that lie ahead for them, and them alone, to enjoy.

Our pudgy and most incompetent PM is reaping what he himself has personally sown. He should never have entertained the idea of appointing useless Keith Bell as his minister of labour. Throw into the toxic mix brain-dead Halkitis, and you end up with a sure fire recipe for the worst kind of labour unrest.

Perhaps Michael Maura would care to explain why decades of great riches enjoyed by the cruise ship industry from its exploitation of our nation's sun, sand and sea has not translated to a better quality of life and standard of living for the Bahamian people.

Thanks to the ruthlessly aggressive business model of the cruise ship industry, our government (public treasury) and our local economy do not even derive sufficient economic benefit from their use of our nation to compensate for all the pollution and other great risks they bring our way.

As I've said many times before, our nation desperately needs to pivot its limited resources away from tourism based on cruise ship visitors to tourism based on air arrival visitors. The latter contribute so much more to our economy.

Just think how many of the unfortunate tourists who experienced the chaos and delays at the airport will not be returning ever again to our country. And we can be rest assured they will be spreading the word to their family and friends that The Bahamas is the last place anyone should consider for a vacation.

No doubt the U.S. TSA inspectors will be documenting in their inspection report the grave concerns they have about the heightened security risks associated with our country's labour unrest.
