We've had way too many of these types of murders in recent years. They typically remain unsolved and are unquestionably 'hits' undertaken by a small tight-knit group of individuals who believe their brand of vigilante justice is justified by our failed judicial system. Left unchecked, at some point they could begin targeting others whom they believe are primarily responsible for committing injustices of a different kind against members of our society with apparent impunity. All hell would surely break loose then!
And Bahamians will soon be fighting back tears due to the enormous spike in violent crimes to come because Fernander as a senior law enforcement officer has always been as incompetent as they come. But what does cruel Davis care!
> For his part, former commissioner Paul Rolle said he came into the post with his integrity intact, and he left the post with that integrity remaining.
And lest Rolle should ever forget: He came into the post when crime was high and left the post when crime was much higher.
As for his successor Fernander, the people have only cruel and corrupt Davis to blame for picking the most rotten apple of the entire bunch.
Stupid people people will fall victim to buying anything. And stupid and incompetent government leaders like cruel Davis will lend their support to stupid people buying anything. Anyone remember the outrageously priced but well packaged Pet Rock?
But corrupt and cruel Davis is ever so much more adept at breaking things. I seriously doubt both his desire and ability to fix anything.
Let's just face it. Like his predecessors, corrupt and cruel Davis is much too busy looking after his own personal interests, and the interests of his financial-backers and favourite cronies, to be concerned about the interests of the vast majority of the Bahamian people.
@birdie, @Tal, @John, and many others like them, are hoping the official flags of Haiti and Jamaica will be hoisted on the same flag pole above the Bahamian flag during the Independence Day Flag Raising Ceremony.

Sadly we rank each year way above the U.S. in the murders per capita ranking by country. Hard to believe, but true.

Too late. First two things residents of U.S. and Canada now think of when they think of The Bahamas are: 1. Crime, and 2. Haitians.
