To be fair, they are providing the same information the WHO and CDC are providing. There are doctors all over the world saying the same things they are saying now about Covid-19. Most of the doctors here would not be specialist in infectious disease. It's like going to an ENT doctor for neurosurgery. You can't expect someone whose not a specialist to give you the right answers for a field they're not in. They follow what they know from the experts.

We assume doctors should be in great health. You have to remember these are people too. Some of them would be predisposed to certain illnesses and sometimes this drove to them become doctors. Some of them may have picked up bad habits as a student such as smoking. I wouldn't judge the skill of a doctor based on their habits but based on their knowledge. You sometimes see really good mechanics driving cars in poor shape. Salespeople who sell products they don't use. The list goes on and on.

Healthcare workers in the public system are treated poorly. When you have doctors fighting for monies owed; nurses fighting for health insurance; complaints about understaffing; you have a problem. If you work and you're treated like crap, would you blame yourself or your employer?

There's a saying, before you judge a man you should walk a mile in his shoes. I'm not in the healthcare industry, but I see in the media the struggle they do through. So, let's be fair.

A lot of countries have shown that the suggested steps to minimize transmission is successful. So, people have to comply.

I didn't get that artie either. 5 months for transporting 12lbs of cocaine. Wow! If you sell.coconut water on the street and can't pay the fine, I think you get the same.amount of time or a little more. We all know that under normal circumstances this translator years in prison. We send guys to jail for 2 marijuana cigarettes. She gets caught with 12lbs of cocaine.12lbs! The magistrate treats it like she stole 12lbs of Robinhood flour. Everyone involved in this case should resign and th eir heads should be examined. She may have been taken advantage of by someone and that can be factored in, but you can't say "oh, this little old lady shouldn't be treated harshly for this 12lbs of cocaine".

Someone say "banana" and I'll say "republic".

On Spanish woman, 73, was cocaine mule

I believe some pastors and churches are really doing work within the community. So, if. The money is low, it will.imlqct their ability to assist the less fortunate. However, we know a lot of churches are not functioning the way they should. If your pastor's only source of income is from the church and he lives in a very large home in a gated community and drives an extremely expensive car and these are all from the church, we have to ask what's going on? If the surrounding neighborhoods of your church in good times are suffering but you're living like royalty and the coffers of the church is filled to capacity something is wrong. So, if these same folks are the ones at the table complaining that they're down in collection and tithes, somebody needs to give them a reality check.

John the Baptist prepared the way for Christ. He lived in the wilderness earing locust and honey. Christ himself did not have a fancy chariot or lived in a palace. Christ was born in a stable. He moved among those that society forgot. He didn't live behind the gates driving a Mercedes. I hope some day some of these pastors and church elders actually take some time to understand the Bible.

Lol. He can't be serious. He sits in a party that was shameless in how they handle the Public Treasury. So, it's laughable for him to demand to see what's in the Treasury.

As a citizen I think all governments should be transparent and "we, the people" should know what's happening with our money. However, when a man who sits in the midst of a party that has been caught in allegations of corruption and who showed no mercy in squandering taxpayer dollars openly in the name of whatever BS came to mind, hets up and demands transparency you have to smile.

Good try Chester! Can you sweep the doorsteps of your party first, then speak?

Other countries don't have a plan? Really? On the economic side, the US government has passed Bill's for trillions of dollars in economic stimulus packages. The Federal Reserve is carefully watching everything to see.of there is anything they can do to boost the economy.

The US government has cleared the path for pharmaceutical companies to get vaccines approved faster. There's a drug, remdesivir that's already in use to treat seriously ill Covid-19 patients. If I recall this is an American pharmaceutical company. The government would have made things easier for them to get their drug to market.

No country can solve the spread of the disease, that's with people. But, each government can come up with some plan, even if it's simply clearing the path for progress.

We keep forgetting the population of this country is small enough, that you can pretty much run this like a corporation. We keep looking at the US or.other large countries and say, oh they couldn't do this so how can we? Is it the same challenge to run a household as it is to run a multinational business? A household is smaller and easier to manage, right? So, why shouldn't a small country be easier to manage than a very large one? We're too quick to accept nonsense and justify it by comparing ourselves to others far more complex.

I guess people living in Florida don't travel to.thr Bahamas. There is a cruise ship, if I recall, which leaves Miami and come here. I've met people who came on this, who live in Miami. Miami is a hotspot. Lets assume.that the government was truthful on what they said on the second wave. Are we going to assume that Floridians coming in will all be fine?

If we talk about testing before travel, there are issues with that too. There's a politician, a Republican, I don't recall the state, he tested positive on one test and then took another test hours later and tested negative. So, you're getting false positives and we.can also.assume false negatives.

Like I said, we can open. Just do it in a smart way.

It's good that we gave this article here. We need more of these to highlight the gross incompetence of our government. Clearly there isn't a plan. The Economic Recovery Committee is a punchline for a bad joke. Unfortunately, the joke is at our expense.

The PM needs to get intelligent people with ideas who have a good understanding of how to build our economy. Like someone said you can have a very smart person in government, who has worked for a number of years, they may be excellent at what they do but is that the person you should ask how to stimulate an economy? If you have never ran a business to understand the complexity of what is happening now first hand, how can you advise anyone? You don't go to a good mechanic to prepare your financial statements.

Reopening is inevitable. No economy can shut down forever. At some point before a total collapse, you have to reopen. But reopening has to be done in a smart, well thought out way. You can't simply open the doors and keep your fingers crossed.

This situation is crazy. Criminal records for breaking curfews and lockdowns seem extremely harsh. There are already fines to punish someone. Even the fines in some cases are ridiculous. Each case has to be judged in it's own merits. A guy trying to survive should not be punished the same as someone on the street with no apparent need to be there.

It's like the marijuana situation. You catch a guy with two cigarettes and you charge him with possession with the intent to supply (if I recall correct). So, he goes to jail. But, a simple fine or perhaps community service or drug rehab would probably be more fitting.

The idea is the state should solve problems not create others.
