It should all be taken into account and be matters of concern. Matters in all aspects must be on the minds of us for better and healthier living and having the knowledge that our concerns are appreciated and positively considered and acted upon.
Minnis made several huge blunders including buying this hotel and giving a 200 year (as I understand) for a huge tract on Hog Island ((now Paradise Island)) to Royal Caribbean which along with the port has turned once thriving Nassau into a cheap and tawdry threadbare town compared to what it once was. Davis could have corrected this, Christie sold us out to the CCA and changed an absolute rejection of the gambling referendum into what he then termed an opinion poll! We have become a college for incompetency.
Being a nationally and internationally accepted individually with hopefully strength to push past politically charged local understanding and having the balls to be fair, honest and within a leadership capacity. For our country, and not for their selfish individual dealings with some chosen who will contribute no knowledge or experience but only party and family financial short term gains and loyalty.
Perry didn’t recognise that chapter 11 in Delaware means restructuring and continuance. But now that CCA is doing the same that their challenge in our jurisdiction should be judged similarly.
The whole reason is the Chinese ‘Belt and Road initiative planned to have access and ownership to all principal utilities around the world. They have been successful in taking over airports, electrical generation, water supply in many countries by offering loans to certain countries, and when not paid, they claim ownership and that is another boost in the effort to being legally owed by a poorly run and poorly managed country, as are the Bahamas. It’s great that Ismirlian has pushed a halt to their run in the Bahamas, and legally halted their aspired to takeover of our economic identity.
