Chucky, so how are you going to pay staff, rent, depreciation utilities, licences, government Value Added taxes, property taxes, increased replacement costs, NIB, insurances on property, goods and public liability, shrinkage (tiefin'), limited time on lifespan of goods - and on and on. Of course prices will be higher! Invoiced first cost times 2.6 only lands the goods in the shop before a profit can even be considered. So who is the j@ck@ss?
Forget about drones. If the maintenance required to keep them fueledand in the air is donelike has been done on the Defence Forceboats sent to the Nethelands for reconditioning, they will be lost and fall into the sea before long. The proprietary skill required to fly them is - I am sure - possible, but maintenance and equipment diagnostics, firmware upgrades and spares available immediately is the key.
I use online when in Nassau. Where I live in the island there is a very limited internet with BTC - when it is on it is extremely slow ifworking at all. I paid Cable Bahamas the deposit to connect six years ago. Their deal to open in the Bahamas was that every home on every island would be connected. However, there are no near neighbours and so they will not install a node so tthat I would have television and internet. They say that I will never be connected as they won't make enough to justify the value of the node even though their cable runs by and on my property. Thus online banking is just not a feasible option. Keeping a physical banking system open for elderly customers who are not comfortable with online banking and those like me who will not be able to do this is essential. I have been with them for over 50 years and am not happy with this bad decision.
The world needs to practice mandatory birth control and mandatory sterilisation after two offspring - inside marriage or otherwise. There are too many humans. Start with countries like Haiti and all other countries where the homo sapiens population over runs its resources.
I firmly believe that those in charge of the spiritual side of our existence should remain only in touch with the spirits. Their meddling in the practical side of the living only causes dissention, confusion and bias. However, each to their own - most Bahamian followers who do so without question confuse faith with superstition even at the best of times.
