It doesn't appear to hit any widespread public interest until the flashing red light go off, and even then it suffers from a lack of public interest or concern. The National Trust is doing its loudest best with its small dedicated team, so instead of beating the Trust down, research, visit, discuss and join them/us. We need another team member with concern and a voice.
Never! Myself, my children, my family and their children will never take this as a serious consideration, neither that nor the reparations conversation. Real Bahamians should hold firm and revel in our rare and valued heritage.
It would be a huge mistake to lose our present standing and take on being a republic. As much as I respect some of those who would like to see that happen, it is not a realistic or wise choice to take that road. Once our current best position is lost it will not be able to return. Regrets and hindsight would abound. Then it is too late and tears of loss due to such bad decisions will not be of any substance.
