If they could understand that no rents coming in in town town, there is an inability to pay any full price. A compromise and understanding of real situations in paramount. We who cannot afford to pay - we who have paid on time and in full should be given some regard. No rent and the use of all savings MUST be considered and adjusted. We sell all we can at rock bottom prices just to pay taxes, all other government tax demands and insurances. Government please listen and understand. You cannot get or demand what we do not have as our reserves have run out.

Downtown ghost town can't afford the property tax much less an increase in insurance rates. No business for almost a year.

Already recurrent costs to maintain buildings and pay basic bills with no income has stripped any savings from property owners in the downtown ghost town. Property taxes and all other licenses are far higher than any income (which has ceased) from tenants who have left, quit their leases -or stay closed because of the absolute shut down in custom. Inability to pay is not appreciated by the government - as it is they will have to learn that wnen there is nothing to give then there is nothing to give. Appreciation of this and accommodation is absolutely necessary if there is to be anything to offer tourists when the boats arrive again. Trying to wring income tax or corporate tax from any situation in such dire straits is inconceivable and outright nuts!

Stop being a jackass, Minnis! Downtown has been broke for almost a year and we have no money to pay property taxes and have run through our savings. You can't get what we don't have any longer.

Analytical study af how and why we have arrived here is necessary. I have been an ardent watcher and have examined all constantly since I was able to hold my own inquest into how the 'masses' are led to believe in the root history of their accumulation through greed or loss of faith in themselves or systems of government and sustaining even those least able to contribute or support themselves or who do not care or have political benefactors. Old families are laid to blame for others misfortunes. Yes - we must help our brothers and sisters - but there are limits. If a woman or a man has a huge load of children inside or outside of their family pack - a Marriage and commitment if you will - they themselves are responsible for the bearing that their mating produces. Others who work hard to do best for their planned family cannot be expected to pay for the unwanted results of inconsiderate mating and their disregard of family values and standards. So - later on the chindren produced are felt ashamed and at fault - they know the conditions of their birth and hold resentment towards those who did a great amount of planning and follow through to do the best for their family - knowing that the best that they could impart to that family would deliver future best results for the entire community and country. We have to consider the actual lives of the unwanted products, but the parents of them are entirely responsible for the products of their lack of thought and action. Yes, we are all animals and have the desire to breed - just as birds, fish, animals of all description, fungus, termites and so much more, but humans have inherited the ability to make intelligent choices, and reasoning and sanity is blatantly available. Use our heads and progress rather than being breeding rats which destroy our world.

Federal government cannot mandate states to quarantine just as they cannot mandate a mask law. Just don't involve yourself in risky situations when away - them to here or here to there and the only thing will be the rapid antigen test the travel visa and showing that to the carrier.
