Wood carvings made in Cuba and elsewhere and sold as Bahamian? Any original imaginative straw work with raffia and smiles as the straw workers explain the types of straw, thatch and plaits that are the materials when stitching together their original creations in front of their prospective customers?
This is good except for some who find that there is nothing incoming (like the downtown ghost town) and persons who have always paid on time and in full who find themselves on the very lean side financially and would like to have some outgoing to cover their obligations - but don't owing to present circumstances. They could be labelled criminal, contemptuous, have their assets (which they would need to use to accrue funds to pay taxes and insurances demanded) forfeited is a completely wrong and backwards way of asserting power over those who from no fault of their own are unable and who have run through their savings paying as much and as best they can. The older persons are especially vulnerable to this and regard should be made for our circumstances and compliant history.
What happened to the BAMSI lime trees? What about the burned out building uninsured that is on the public bill. Why were our tomato crops which were taken to the docks in Eleuthera allowed to rot because they were refused transport to Nassau because those farmers were not party affiliates? Same with the onion growers in the Exumas? The Long Island initiatives too! Why were Wennergren's farms shut down in Andros and the super productive farms in Hatchet Bay and Rock Sound Eleuthera? Racist preference or monetary graft and greed?
Send them back or send them on. They overbreed and destroy their country, and take advantage of our successive governments' lack of commitment. A spay and neuter policy can and should be implemented for them to remain.
Know who they are and lock down for life the instigators. Don't kill them - incarcerate them put them in a deep hole and make them reflect their fate until they meet their doom.
If they could understand that no rents coming in in town town, there is an inability to pay any full price. A compromise and understanding of real situations in paramount. We who cannot afford to pay - we who have paid on time and in full should be given some regard. No rent and the use of all savings MUST be considered and adjusted. We sell all we can at rock bottom prices just to pay taxes, all other government tax demands and insurances. Government please listen and understand. You cannot get or demand what we do not have as our reserves have run out.
